Vineyard National Golf Course
About
The 18-hole, public The Vineyards is situated in the South Jersey Pinelands with beautiful views of orchards and vineyards. The same meticulous care that goes into Renault's award-winning restaurant and winery went into the championship golf course that spans over 7,000 yards.
The designer kept frequent golfers in mind when creating the layout for the course but it won't overwhelm golfers with higher handicaps. There are strategic elements that offer the opportunity for risk and reward. The 1st hole is the signature hole offering a beautiful view of the vineyards. The Vineyards has a yardage of 7,213 playing to a par of 72.

High end feel, without the high end price
We have always enjoyed the Vinyard. Great mix of difficult holes with easier ones. Only hole that seems gimmicky is No.8 with it's fairway split in two by a bunker.
Course was in very good shape, one or two fairways has spots without grass but even those spots played true.
Thought some of the pins were a bit unfair.
Staff and off-course facilities are excellent.
Enjoyable round
Third time playing this course. Challenging layout with lots of variety. Several water holes, some multi-tiered greens, lots of traps and some long holes. Fairways, greens in very good shape. Only thing I don’t like about course is that the rough is a little weedy… though better than previous years. Pace of play was acceptable and staff was professional and organized. Will play again.
Libs review
Over all not bad ,
Bevy girl should stay until 8:00 pm,
Pace of play was slow,
Need a Marshall to keep pace of play moving or let players play through
Great Day at the Vineyard
Friendly staff, good layout and conditions were much better than last year. Pace of play was a bit slow but the ranger kept everyone moving and apologized for the slow play on the back 9. Good value and would definitely play here again.
Sunday Lightning
Lightning cut our round off, but no one offered to reimburse us.
Great Course Bouncing Back...
The course took a hit last year in the drought. may fairways are still coming back. There is enough grass to play but the price should be lower until the course bounces back fully.
Yardage markers
Tees were very nice, fairways need to grow in. The greens and the area surrounding the greens were excellent also greens really tough. What bothers me is that the course has very poor yardage markers the few we found were the size of tennis balls hidden throughout the course. I played LBI the week before and they had post on the sides of the fairways marking 100, 150 and 200. I can't understand why all golf courses don't do this. It speeds play and is very helpful especially on courses where you have a lot of out of towners maybe playing for their first time.
One starter could be a little more friendly
Tues - conditions sunny and very windy; Brought some friends in from out of town, they wanted to get there early to have a drink and warm up a bit. Upon arrival we had a brief but unfriendly and odd exchange as the shorter stockier starter seemed befuddled that we showed up at 11:15 for a 12:30 tee time, repeatedly saying “12:30?!, wow 12:30 , as if commenting to some of the other folks standing around” immediately, im feeling a bit unwelcome and embarrassed, especially since I’m hosting friends.. then As we went to place our bags in the bag rack we quickly got told not to put our bags there but behind the rack “because of the large group” that he seemed to be remarking towards earlier. Out of our group, I have the only non-walking bag without a stand; it was very windy out so I laid my clubs down in the mulch, safely and between two bushes touching nothing but mulch, because I didn’t want my bag to fall over on the concrete. The starter immediately began to scold me about “would I lay the clubs down in the mulch at my own house” as he frustratingly grabbed my bad and stood it up on the concrete where it precariously rocked in the strong winds.. I told him that “yes, I would lay my clubs down harmlessly on the mulch at my own home if I needed to” then proceeded to tell him that was okay that he balance my clubs up like that but if they fell, I was going to be a different level of irritated. That guy pretty much avoided us from there on in.
After that, everyone was friendly. the guy at the register was charming and friendly and told us where to have a drink and explore the amenities until we teed off. The bartender Ryan was cool. Even one of the landscapers gave us a friendly salutation and told us to enjoy the facility..
Nice & challenging course
Golf course layout is great, I liked each hole, never get bored, challenging some holes, not so much water affected. Green was nice fast, not super fast.
Playing in the vineyard was awesome.
One thing to say was pace of play was not followed, it took us over 5 hours to finish. We felt too long to wait sometime to lost focus.
But we liked the restaurant & cafe, it was wonderful. I’ll definitely come back to spend time again there,
Its ok
Went off in morning 800am. Finished in 3 hours. Course layout is good. Fairways and tee boxes were ok. Not great. Although we have not had much rain. Greens were in decent shape. I would consider this an average condition course. Not spectacular. Pace of play was great on weekday morning. So that is a plus. Cost was $79
Father/son golf outing
Course was in good shape . Front nine pace was calm and relaxing. Back nine started with a foursome that somehow jumped in front of us. Would have been ok if the foursome had four that played good. My son and I aren’t great but if you jump in at least have the decency to be able to play with pace.
First play there this year
The course is I’m good condition and the greens were fast. Great course, mostly wide open and greens were excellent.
Fun course
Had a real nice round of golf. The course is out of the way a bit, but worth the drive. Full restaurant and the staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed our round.
I can validate the above comment since I was one of those guests. I’ve worked as an assistant pro at several golf courses when I was younger and I can honestly say that guy would not have been employed at any of the golf courses I was at after that display of unprofessionalism.
