Pomona Golf & Country Club

About
The Pomona Golf Course is a nine-hole, public course nestled in the wilderness of Southern New Jersey. The flat, wide course is geared more towards beginners so experienced golfers might not get much besides light practice on this course.
Pomona Golf Course is also located minutes away from casinos and entertainment. The course plays to a par of 32 with 2,426 yards at the longest tees. Detailed directions are needed since the golf course is somewhat hard to find if you are not familiar with the area since there are no signs of how to get there along the roads. Credit cards aren't accepted either, cash only.

Good course
The course was nice. The fairways were low, but also thin. We were there early in the morning so all balls in the fairway had sand on them by the time they stopped rolling. Greens were good.
A nice nile hole course
The staff was very nice. My wife and I played early morning and had no wait. The fairways had thick, but kind of deep grass. If you hit worm-burners they don't roll very far. The greens were good--honest rolls.
Always an excellent experience.
Always a great experience. Highly recommend the course for a fun round.
Play it again
Great place to play and a fun course for all levels of players and the greens are in the best shape that I have seen over several years bring the family and always remember cash only!
Just…ok.
If the “tee boxes” didn’t have markers you would have no idea where they are. Not much difference in fairways vs. rough as far as species and length- except for the fairways that are all clover.
For $17 walking, fun enough executive course. Greens were very nicely maintained and challenging due to size and speed. The greens that were in the sun and dew burned off were very fast, dew covered ones in shadows were really slow.
Pace was excellent. Fun for a quick 9 if you’re nearby. A few fairways were pretty tight so you had to be accurate. Lots of dog legs.
Course not very well groomed overall, but staff and other golfers were very friendly.
Some 9-hole executive courses let you go around twice for the fee- here you need to be a member to do that.
Good for cheap, quick practice rounds. But keep your expectations on the low side.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of our business. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of markers on the tee boxes and the similarity between the fairways and rough. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the challenging greens, excellent pace, and friendly staff and golfers. We value your business and hope to see you again soon.
Peacefull environment
I enjoyed my 10:30 tee time. Excellent low humidity day. I had the best day. Time to study my shots, it was awesome!!
Book early and enjoy the peace and quiet of a 9 hole course, I mean it.Ivan M
Fun ‘short course’!
We had fun with some ‘beginners’ as well as some veteran players. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We will definitely come back!

Hidden Gem
A perfect course to get a quick Nine in. Course was very green this time around. Staff is always super friendly.
First time
A couple of the flags were not easy to get to because of over hanging trees. Trees need to be trimmed back around the tee boxes making it easier to access. Wanted to have a Big Dog and a beer after playing but only members can but alcohol - WTH - what the heck?

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the overhanging trees on some of our flags. We will take your feedback into consideration and work on trimming them back to improve accessibility. We also apologize for the restriction on alcohol, as it is limited to our members. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
First Time Playing at Pomona
Small course but fairways were nice. One tee-box for everyone. Greens were small but groomed well. Had to wait for a cart before beginning. Good course for practice.
Practice round.
Good price for a practice round. Most par 4’s are doglegs so it take some skill. But decent gape and good price for a 9 hole.

I enjoyed this course. First and foremost, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience., both during our play and afterwards having lunch.
Course was nice. Small greens but they were kept well.
Fairways in great shape. Overall, great course and great place all the way around.
