Vineyard National Golf Course

I played this course a little over one year ago and have raved to people about the amazing job the new owners had done on a course that had been completely run down. My takeaway was very different this time. The good news.... the greens were very, very good. Rolled nicely, excellent speed. Really will enjoy the greens.

However, the journey to the greens is made up of a lot of burned-out areas of fairways. I understand it's been hot, but if they are watering at all, too many areas are simply not touched. What was most surprising was the amount of crab grass in the rough, surrounding the greens and t-boxes. Seems like it has gotten completely away from them.

Staff is always great. Really appreciate everyone and the restaurant amenities are exceptional. I was hoping the golf course would be the centerpiece but that does not seem to be the case.

Very diverse holes… lots of sand and some water. Greens, fairways and tees in great shape… the rough was “hit or miss”; some dried out, some plush and sticky.

There’s definitely trouble in spots but forgiving enough if you kiss in the right spots.

Will definitely play here again.

It was a VERY HOT day 95' Only complaint was not enough water stations to wet towels. Other than that, great course!

Great course, great bar/restaurant. I want to come back play, stay at the hotel, and play the next day.

This course is great! It's relatively new but you feel how much effort the staff puts into maintaining it. The greens are really fast and the pin placements are challenging. When you're done with your round, you can enjoy the wine from the Vineyards you see on holes 6 & 7

Course is in good shape. Tees, bunkers, greens and fairways are manicured well. Played 18 holes in 3:30. Started at 3:00. No driving range. Good value at $50.

Fairways and greens were in good shape but tee boxes were not. Have to go to other property down road to get food.

Not worth the greens fee..my local muni is in as good a shape..disappointing as I had heard the new ownership was upgrading the condition of the course..always enjoyed the layout but not worth the money now..

This golf course was everything I needed for a Sunday afternoon round of golf!

This was the second day at Vineyard this week. The course was awesome, the pro shop personnel, especially Matt was friendly and helped us out.

We were a twosome and we were making great progress as expected for a 7:30am round. The threesome in front of us were super slow so we flagged down the ranger. Same guy from our July 4th round.

Proceeds to tell me how the slow threesome is on schedule. Also said they were a foursome to prove his point. Was negated immediately to which he had jo answer. We played through them.

One hole later our hero turns up again, just to tell us how on schedule the threesome are. We told him no, we played through them. Dude goes, ohhhh, ok and leaves.

Then we played through another group of four who let us through. Now we are basically the quickest on the course.

Our hero then turns up and proceeds to follow us throughout a hole, the usual ranger crawl you get when you are 12 shots in and lining up your fifth putt on the ground. Yea, totally unnecessary.

I am seriously left to wonder if the color of our skin had anything to do with his blatantly biased behavior. Unless of course the threesome were his brothers and kids.
