Berkshire Valley Golf Course

Love the course, and jump at the chance to play it (being out of county, the tee times seem to book up before I get my opportunity). Driving range is very lacking. Snack bar was closed up by the time we left around 4 pm, which was disappointing for the long ride home.

A very friendly ranger ride past us a few times on the front 9. As it turns out, shortly thereafter, one in our foursome left a wedge on one of the greens. He drove back to collect it, and the group behind said they gave it to the ranger. Instead of the ranger driving forward to see which group lost it, it was returned to the pro shop. When we saw the ranger again on the 12th hole and asked about it, we were told it was in the pro shop. How about bringing the wedge to the player, instead of having to play the next 6 holes without a wedge? Oh, and we never saw the ranger again the rest of the round.

Greens and fairways were running pretty fast. Played in 4 hours.

Beautiful setting, well-designed and challenging course in good condition. Workmen we’re out everywhere tending to it. Well worth the price.

Beautiful course. Very nice views. Challenging course if you’re new bring a few extra balls. The first couple of holes will be tough if you slice. They have a cliff off the right side. A couple holes you hit over water. I am rather new though and so is the person I played with this day. I don’t want that to be taken negatively about the course though I just put it there so an newbies like me know to bring a few extra balls you’ll probably lose a few. The people in the club house and starter, all staff really and even other golfers there were very welcoming and personable. When we told them that we were new they went above and beyond giving pointers/tips etc.

Great course, challenging greens just enough to make love and hate . Gorgeous setup , great value, beautiful course.

Tough course. Rough isn't too bad but don't go in the fescue. Nice true greens and not very fast I cant wait to play again.

For the money you spend, the quality of the course, friendliness of the staff and overall experience, Berkshire Valley is atop my list of favorite courses in NJ.

Despite early rain, course was wonderful to play. Right challenge and enjoyed being pushed.

Such a great course. The layout is different, cut into a mountain. Fairways were beautiful. Greens were fast, tiered, and challenging. All around great course.
