Berkshire Valley Golf Course

This is by far the best course in Morris County, and maybe even the best value within a 30 mile radius. Course conditions never seem to disappoint. A pretty open course (except the first 5 cliff holes), and challenging and fun for all skill levels.

I love to play different courses. I would get bored playing one course at a country club over and over again. Berkshire is always a must play 2-3 times a year. It is fantastic shape. The views are amazing and it is a great layout (230yrd par 3 #2 is not ideal but had to fit it in the landscape). Today, was no exception. Rain soaked from day before, the course dried up and only had some areas of watch left. Cudos to the grounds crew! Greens rolled quick and pure. And all for $80!!! That makes this course the best rated around. Bally is $150 and the greens are pot marked. No thanks. Just don’t tell too many people!

I booked online via Teeoff.com for four sum at $77 per player = $308. When I was checking in, the cashier said my price is $380. Questioned why and he said Teeoff price was wrong. I complained and the price came down to $320 and again to $317. Why do I have to in a postion to re-negotiate the green fee when it was done at the Teeoff website. Disgusting experience.

Not a bad day. Started out as a misty day but the cloud cover kept it cool. Pace was pretty good, no real waiting and finished in just over 4 hours. Course has a putting green and a driving range - but no drivers, irons only. Cart girl was out and we saw her a couple times during our round. Conditions on the course was good. Greens in great shape. Played many times before and it is always a nice round.

Nice track. The green's and bunkers were in good condition. The first few holes and the last few holes will determine how you score for the day.

Very scenic and challenging course. If you play from the Black or Blue tees even more challenging. Course was in great shape. Played a bit slow before some rain scared most players away. Play this course you'll enjoy it.

I've never seen so many people working to make a course beautiful. First time I've been on a course with maintained sand traps in a year. Hadn't played there in 25 years and I will be back soon.

Normally the pace of play is right around 4 hours and 15 minutes.

The two foursomes ahead created a 5 hour round.

Waiting before every shot ruins the round.

I really like this course one of the best views from the 1st and 2nd tee bow! Well maintained friendly staff great burgers on the course during the season However every time I play here I am always waiting on the group in front rounds end up being 4hrs 45 minutes to 5 hours and this is during the week!

I've played here before and it's always been fun. I play T twilight time because they have better rates. Fairways are huge and are in great condition. Greens pretty good, but it's still early. I've played them at the end of last season and they are very good, but not easy. Twilight worked well for me and was able to get 18 in before dark. Started at 5 and finished at 7:30. It was cart paths only so with huge fairways got a pretty good workout.

We went on a really cold day and were the only golfers on the course (my car was the only one in the parking lot). Even with the cold weather the course was in great shape for this time of year and we were pleasantly surpised with the beautiful layout. Carved in the side of the hills and great views. Every hole was an amazing challenge. A must play but pricey for $77.

Course is beautiful but the pace of play is horrendous. I’m not sure if they over book or what but we teed off at 11:30am and didn’t even get to finish the round. Had to drive in after 17. Very frustrating after a long day to not even finish.
