Interesting course
very good condition very challenging, lots of fun to play greens very nice
wow
Played one one of the best golf days of the year . but the course is in great shape. I would defiantly go back. Thankyou for the work.
A fun and pretty course location
This course is fun to play. I try to play it several times during the season. Views are beautiful, especially as the leaves are turning. Greens are moderate in speed, but roll true. There are a couple of "blind" holes which get easier as you play the course more and become more familiar with the layout.
Nice link course
Green/fairway and tee box are all in surprisingly good condition.
Love it
The layout was nice. Nothing was really strait and blind at time so you had to think. Love it, will return!!
an old friend
I always get exited returning to n.j. I can't wait to play northern course again. playing high bridge hills is like seeing an old friend. I played this past sunday with 3 buddies. the club house is very minimal. small pro shop and bar area. if your like me it's great. pay, grab a beer and a dog and go. the course was in good shape. they must have aerated a few weeks ago. there was still a light sand on the greens. you had to hit the puts a little harder but the greens rolled true. the course is a links style and it is visually excellent. we finished our round right at four hours. we never rushed and we were never pushed. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone. I booked through golf now and payed $54. for our sun. morning tee time. I will be back to play it again. give it shot.
excellent layout, links course in great shape
This course has a great design, links style that is in great shape. Tees/Fairways/Greens were in excellent condition.
Course and Facilities
Course is fun and challenging, a links type format. It gets a lot of play, greens are somewhat rough. Practice facility includes driving range. Bar and restaurant in club trailer.
17 Holes in 5 Hours & Walked Off
Not a single ranger on the entire course on a Saturday afternoon. The course was essentially staffed by three teenagers and the beverage cart woman.
We walked off the course after hitting our tee shots on the 17th hole considering we were about to break the 5 hour mark. Not one helped in any way to improve the pace of play or identify the issues. Every tee was backed up a minimum of two groups.
If you are looking for premium golf, go elsewhere. For the price you can find the same at any of the Crystal Springs courses or Architect's.
I will not be back.
Last three holes got me!
Course was in very nice shape. Played ok until the sixteenth hole (actually it was the seventh, eighth, and ninth, started on the tenth.) Had nothing but trouble on the last three. All in all it was a good day. Got teamed up with two other players to round out a foursome. Very nice people. One gentleman was an outstanding golfer the other, very good for his age. (around seventy) It was quite windy, but the course was good, and the greens were quick. Not a walking course. Truly, the only reason we played was Golf Now, otherwise it was a little pricy for out-of-towners who are retired. Will more then likely play it again when we get a good price break.
Bring lots of balls...
This is a pretty tough course with lots of fescue grass, good control is needed at all times! Course was in good shape although the greens had lots of pock makes because people do "NOT" fix them. Staff was friendly and price was reasonable.
Nice course
Pretty straight forward course in great shape. Par 3's are a little odd with a 120 yard one down hill and even a shorter one at maybe 90 yards with another one that measures over 220 yards. Overall the people were nice and the couse in great shape.
This is a hard course to play for a beginner!
Rough on the edges and OB areas is VERY high. Good chance of lost balls.
Great course
Played 36 holes for $60. Can not beat that! The front 9 is a lot harder than the back 9. Very little room for mistakes but I love this course! I lived closer I would play once a week.
Must play
Real grass range, nice putting practice green. Some blind tee shots and short par 3s but overall great place to play. Only real negative pace of play is slow and no rangers on the course.
Good course
Good value for the money, especially since I paid $60 instead of $78. Could use a ranger on the course. Slow play and had a single player cut right in front after 9 holes
Excellent links course
Course was in excellent condition with the exception of the sand traps which were not consistant. Some were a little muddy. First time playing this course and it was challenging, had to keep the ball in fairway otherwise likely lose a stroke.
Tough Course--Long Day
This course is difficult even when playing well. Not the case Sunday for me. Will select a different playing partner next time. At age 64, championship tees make the course too long. My partner, age 63 and a 20 handicapper, didn't think so. He said he lost at least 10 golf balls. We rightfully got warned by a ranger for slow play.
Course gets a lot of play and is chopped-up in places including the greens.
I like to walk and that is not allowed.
I will probably play it again but not on a weekend and with someone who has some sense of his limitations.
Good course
Thinking about what I liked and did not like about the course. Generally the course was in good condition even though recent downpours left the bunkers hardened and with puddles. Greens were good, nobody fixes ball marks these days. Chief complaint, blind shots on dogleg holes. Nice vistas on some holes. Do not bother to look for your ball should go astray lush grass and deep wooded overgrowth and poison ivy will make you regret the effort.
