Mercer Oaks Golf Course - West Course

The course was in good shape for early in the season. Greens were slow and a little bumpy, but that is to be expected this time of year. The course becomes more difficult throughout the year as the rough and fescue grow making accurate tee shots much more important. An awesome public course that is playable, but will challenge even the best amateurs.

Course was in great shape considering it's the middle of January! Greens a bit bumpy, but hey, it's golf in January so no comaints. Just had to hit them firm to hold the line. The kitchen was closed by the time I was done my round, but the cook agreed to make me a chicken wrap anyway. Made the experience all that more enjoyable. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area. I drive an hr to get here, so also recommend this track to anyone looking for a great round. Both courses are fun and challenging

scenic with trees and shrubs beautifully trimmed.

Lost a club on a prior hole. Called clubhouse to inform them. Practically had to beg for my name and number to be taken in case it was returned.

Gentleman who i spoke to on the phone was rude and i assume i bothered his break how he spoke to me.

Liked this course, wont be returning. Plenty of courses in the area. Mattawang is a great alternative along with princeton if you are in the area.

Oh yeah, i was informed that carts needed to be returned by 6pm prior to starting which was fine BUT THAT INFO COULD HAVE PROVED MORE HELPFUL IF YOU TOLD ME WHEN BOOKED THE TIME!!!!!!!

Like i said, no problem, plenty of courses in central nj.

It has been difficult for the Greens Keepers during this drought. But the Mercer Oaks G.Keeper has done a fantastic job. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and even the rough are all in fine shape.

First time checking out Mercer Oaks. I hear the East course is the one to play, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was flat, which is fine with me. The fairways were well done and greens rolled nicely. Cant complain and I will certainly be back for $30 its a good value

Played the West course. Great experience. Nothing negative to say about this place.

A really nice course to play mainly because of the course condition and consistency throughout. So greens are uniform in speed, fairways in good condition, first cut of rough is very playable, and not terribly long. Pace of play was remarkably fast, played in less than 3 1/2 hours even though I felt we waited for a slow foursome on many holes. Not a lot of water on the course but you will lose a few if you wind up in the deep stuff. Also, the course is fairly flat and you can usually depend on a flat, even lie.

I am a Monmouth county golf member but love playing at Mercer Oaks. Great course kept in great shape.

One of my favorite courses and one of the best values around the area. Excellently maintained and scenic.

Good track, nice layout. Comfortable fairways. I'd def go back. I drove about 45 min to get there, worth the 24$ on GN.

golf course is ok however some hazards are not marked so be careful otherwise you may injure yourself.

This course provides a challenge but is fair and fun at the same time. I enjoy playing here once or twice year. The staff in the pro shop are very friendly but I had an issue with the starter who was obnoxious. I am not going to let one jerk deter me from playing here.
