Mercer Oaks Golf Course - West Course

One of the better county courses. Course isn't long and its not difficult to score. Greens were good and fairways were nicely maintained. Its expensive for out of county but the on line discount helps.

Links style course in very good condition (did not have a bad lie in any fairway). Very professional staff.

The layout of this course was challenging but not over whelming. Loved the experience and the views. Can't wait to play there again.

As a resident I would have had to pay more than what I did through golf now. What a deal . What a nice course .

I signed up as a single and was paired up with 3 gentlemen who were very nice. One was a very good golfer, one was average, and the third should have moved up one set of tees. He had a very nice game but not long enough to play from the set of tees he chose. I do generally like to walk this course because it is very manageable for walking bus since I paid for a cart, I rode.

The only thing that holds me back from giving it a five star rating was the condition of the fairways. There were many divots that had not been fixed by players. The greens were in excellent shape.

Course is in excellent shape. A lot of very interesting holes. Pace of play was excellent compared to adult community golf courses I played at. For a county course, this one has everything you will need - a driving range, a putting green and a restaurant. This one is almost like a private facility. Can't wait to be back. Hopefully by next week.

Thought the Links course was just a bit less impressive than other course. Greens not as good. At 45 dollars it is worth it.

The West course has excellent conditions from the tee boxes to the fairways and greens. It was much better than the East which has fairways that are not grown in yet and lousey greens that have some sort of fungis growing, is all spotty, and do not roll true. Maybe in a month it will inprove. Dif play the west. Cart girl was nice and made several rounds. Front desk very nice along with the starter. My group had a guy that had never been on a golf course before that did slow us down quite a bit and knocked my timing off but was a nice guy and picked up his ball and moved on after hitting mostly bad shots.
Public golf does not get any better than Mercer Oaks West.

very good links style layout....played on a very windy day and into the wind played very difficult. would highly recommend especially if you enjoy links style courses

Value was good because I booked with GolfNow, I do feel the county courses are too high to play and ride. And the pace of play does not help the fact when I feel that courses are overpriced.

I have played the east course a few times before but never the west! The west course is absolutely amazing! I loved it! Each hole is unique and every hole is challenging in it's own way! And as the east the west course was in impeccable condition! One of my new favorite course to play! And great course to find on golfnow!

Having played a few years back, I was impressed by the improvements and excellent conditions. I played on a weekday, mid day, and found the course to be quite active, yet, never delayed. I thoroughly enjoyed the effort made by the maintenance staff, course looks great, looking to return soon. I rated the condition Pristine, because its better than Maintained. This is a municipal course and it may not have the private course funding, so its a Pristine muni.

Although this course was in great shape and challenging I would not play there again. The starter said oh you guys are from golf now. He also told us they are trying to get rid of golf now because they are losing money. Made us feel real welcome. Always felt pushed, even the hot dog cart rushed us. We were told not to waste time in the bathroom after 9. Then on the 18th we were 150 out and the starter drove by and said make sure you keep pace even though the foursome in front was putting. I will save my money and play at a more welcoming course.

course was in amazing shape. got there early and they got me off earlier than my time time. it was an awesome day of golf!!!!

Played west course for the first time. Maintained condition. Fairways lined with trees and water. Greens in fine condition. Couldn't finish 18 holes so definitely going back to play all.
