Little rough
Tee box’s not so good. Greens on one nine had sand on them other nine was ok. Course conditions are most likely due to lack of rain. I will play there again give it a try it’s a fun course to play
Improving
A little rain and TLC, this will be a fun little course. Perfect for those (my father in law) who can’t play 18 anymore or hit the ball very far. Am thrilled to see new ownership and obvious upgrades. Will definitely play again!
Drought
The course layout was excellent, greens were decent. but slow, could have used a rolling and mow to help. The recent drought has had a negative effect on all local courses. I can see this place being an incredible place to play once the rain returns to normal.
Was dissapointed that GHIN didnt recognize this place.
Good deal
Very friendly staff, loyal following. For the money had a great time, would go back.
Not worth it
Course was not worth the money. I wouldn’t pay more than $25 for 18 holes.
Tee boxes were dirt. A few greens were ok but for the most part, the course wasn’t in shape for golf
Not worth it.
In horrible shape. The greens are okay at best and that's it.
Average Executive
Played the back nine at Oyster Creek. Staff were very helpful and super courteous. We had the course to ourselves for all nine holes. The layout is interesting for an executive course, three par fours and six par threes. The holes are straightforward, some narrow, some over water. I liked everything about the course except the turf condition. The fairways are drought stricken and the greens were slow and bumpy.
The course is under new management so there might be hope for better conditions in the future.
We need lots of rain
Sad but true. No rain, no grass, greens were very bumby. Bunkers were not racked.. no food st the club house. Will try it again next year.
Needs a little work
Course is really dry due to no rain. Greens are bumpy but I enjoyed the challenge better hit it straight
mtf
course just changed hands. ; old owner let it get run down; hopefully new owners invests
in course conditions. Nice footprint for a par 28 course and alternative golf experience at a reasonable cost to play b
Great little course
Truely enjoyed playing the course. It is my understanding that the course has recently been purchased and new owners are putting in the effort and money to make it better. I believe from my visit, that is happening. Great and friendly staff. Play it, and you will have a good time!
Potential is There
Played OC for first time with spouse on a Thursday afternoon. Nice welcoming staff, new carts as noted in other reviews, nothing over the top fact, just a feel good checkin. Course needs a lot of work as the staff advised, new owners took over only a few months ago working on getting it back in shape. No rain in months hasn’t helped the conditions, and the irrigation system is under repair so it’s left to nature. Tee boxes and fairways brown and greens choppy but again give them time and it’ll be a fun little course to work on your game and enjoy good company for 3 hours. 9 holes for $35 with cart was more than fair to get us out there. We’ll be back in a month or two to see how it’s doing (hopefully get some rain or irrigation system working). Wishing the new owners the best in bringing the local area a decent course to have some fun!
Very dry out. Grass was completely depleted of anything green.
The Future
I met the new owner. He and his wife have an up hill climb, but with some money and perseverance, they will have a nice little golf course.
