2nd hole, , Blue course, Par3 Photo submitted by Manon1416068 on 12/12/2019
First-time to play at Myakka Pines. The Red and White courses were in excellent condition, in spite of the drought and water restrictions. A really good layout, nicely landscaped, and fun to play. The only negative is that Golf Now must update the descriptive narrative as it no longer can be said that there is no housing or street noise anywhere around, and that golfers enjoy a tranquil realm in a picturesque inland setting, where birdlife and wildlife abound. Instead, the entire natural perimeter of the golf course has been cleared for new home construction. The sights and sounds of bulldozers and dump trucks dominate many of the holes. It spite of that, the course is very well maintained, and I look forward to playing it again.
Old Florida
Very nice round played the red white. Disappointed to see all the houses being built around it. The holes were great unfortunately the drought has dried everything up, especially all the water that made it special. But still a fun time and well worth it.
Surviving drought
Better than I thought it would be since we are in a drought. Course in decent shape. One thing I used to love about Mayaka Pines was that you felt like you were in a forest but now with Wellen Park taking over anywhere and everywhere. Now instead of serenity and peacefulness . Now there’s nothing but construction going on all around you. Some people call it progress, I call it an invasion out of controll. Besides all that the course is worth playing
Terrific conditions
Fairways and greens are in the best conditions to be found at any semiprivate course in the region.
Fun Course
Played Blue/Red 18, nice condition, played fast, friendly staff
Nice Track
I always enjoy playing Myakke Creek,
Even though we are in a drought the course was not as dried out as others in the area. The greens were definitely challenging. It seemed like the edges of the holes were raised a bit so that close puts were often rejected.
Nice place fast greens
Really fun course. The greens rolled super fast. A bit pricey but nice
Pace of Play Horrible
We quit after 9 holes because of pace of play. We were 8 golf carts deep at some holes and def 6 at most of them.
What a day.
Huge shoutout to myakka pines for treatin me and my buddy to a lovely morning. Didn’t play my best round of golf but got paired with two great guys, Larry and Mark. Fellas made it a memorable experience and you will be seeing my face more. 9.4/10 course.
