Overpriced
I’ve been playing douglaston golf course for over 10 years and this past year has been the worst conditions I’ve ever seen the course. The price they charge for this course is criminal. I understand the amount of play it gets, but the tee times need to be spaced out more. The staff is friendly but whoever is in charge only cares about making money. The course is in terrible condition and the clientele and maintenance do not take care of it. I would not recommend to anyone .
This course needs updating
I love this course. I've been playing there forever. After Covid the pace of place is much better - no walk-ins. Before it was a nightmare - with booked tee time you are lucky to tee-off less than an hour late.
But the course needs improvement. Nobody spent even $1 after Giuliany dod it 30 years ago. Potholes, the greens are terrible. You can lose your kidneys driving on the pathways (or may I say "pothole ways" . Paying $80 for this course is a crime. Daylight robbery.
It’s showing the wear from the season
It’s a fine course, challenging but not intimidating. The greens and tee boxes had the late August wear that you should expect from a public course. The three straight par 3’s are always a fun little challenge.
Overall a good experience
Started right on time. A decent pace of play which was nice for a 9am tee time. Couple finicky tee boxes and greens but nothing an average golfer can’t deal with. Lots of slopes, some blind shots make it a tad more challenging. Overall a good experience.
Best of the NYC Munis
Douglaston is a great little course in NYC on the Queens Nassau border. The course was in a great shape and was a treat to play

Excellent course that may lack a lil in distance but not in esthetics and in challenging ones abilities. Beautiful elevations and scenic views.
Super slow green !!
Green conditions is terrible and golf cart is expensive course layout is good enough for the price overall is below the standard
Course was a waste of time
Course conditions were trash and was the slowest pace of golf ever. About 25 minutes wait time at each hole.
