Nice course, good layout, practice putting green is too small, no chipping area, course is overpriced especially on weekends.

Very enjoyable course to play. From the time you arrive you are treated like a private member. The fairways, fringe and greens were cut well. Understandably, there was some aeration and the pricing reflected that. I always look forward to playing here. Thank you

Nice and tough golf course in Long Island, but new golfers really slow and make you upset, .

We’ve played this course multiple times this summer and it’s one of our favorites. It’s a challenging layout in great condition. No two holes are alike. I’d rate this course 5-stars except for the fact that the rangers don’t do much to speed up the pace of play. The round took over 5 hours because several holes ahead of us there was a foursome holding everyone up (with 3 open holes in front of them). The time we played before we skipped several holes to get around slow players.

First let me say I love this golf course. When we check in we should of been informed that while we we playing, the maintenance staff was going to be aerating the fairway s and the surrounding areas. We were subjected to unbelievable dust and dirt on our clothes and our eyes and breathing. we’re greatly impaired. We completed the 18 holes because we’re crazy about the game like all you guys out there. Here’s the rub, we’ll definitely be back because we love this course. I just think the course management should of thought this through and not subject it’s players to these conditions. Sorry guys, you blew it!

My favorite course in the area. The course is always maintained well, pace of play as good as it can be and the staff is always pleasant. Played on an overcast day with storm approaching but was great anyhow. The only issue was course maintenance following us on each hole when course was fairly empty. Changing their direction of travel would have made it ideal.

I have enjoyed a seasonal tee time for several years and thanks to the terrific layout and challenges the course never disappoints. One persistent problem that must be addressed is that the bunkers have far too many stones in them and the staff has to take the time to rake out the rocks. Nothing worse than taking a swing in the bunker and hearing that clank sound as you struck a stone just under the surface, then watch your ball fly in some unintended direction and distance.

I will start off with saying willow creek has impressed me and challenged me many times in the past. As of recent this course has turned into an absolute hole. I can drive 10 more minutes easy on 25a and play rolling oaks and have smoother greens and a better time (a Brookhaven town course by the way).

Before righting this review I have willow creek 3 separate opportunities through the month of august and September to improve the issues I’ve been having. For starters the greens are absolutely horrible. Players not fixing divots and course keepers not maintaining proper upkeep to keep these greens aligned with standards. Next we have the tee times. I should never, EVER, come to a course for $120 and have a 5 stack in front of me. Where is the ranger? Where are the people caring? I understand golf is about having fun and I will 100% admit I am not a great golfer and fully understand people learning and taking their time. But a 5 stack? Come on. There should be no reason I should ever spend $120 and have to sit behind a 5 stack that’s drinking beers and dropping balls left and right because a ranger doesn’t want to come interfere and do their job. I pay to play golf and I know what’s right and wrong when it comes to taking your time.

Another thing I feel inclined to complain about is the amount of fights I’ve seen at this place. Again I will reiterate I’ve had many wonderful times at willow creek but in the last 2 months of going I’ve seen 3 fights between golfers. I can’t help but think this has to do with jam packing groups just to make more money and people getting frustrated with pace of play. Have a ranger DO SOMETHING.

All in all willlow creek was a great course but do yourself the favor and play somewhere else until these issues are resolved. You’ll thank me later.

Good course. SomewhAt slow but good condition but a little pricy

The bunkers were horrible. Nobody bothers to rake the traps and the course Superintendant doesn’t seem to care. I could tell that the bunkers weren’t raked by a tractor in a while. The greens were hairy and slow. Disappointing for a course with a good reputation.

I would like to say everyone in the pro shop, the starter the cart man and the girl in the halfway house were wonderful, top notch and professional.

Course is generally good.

Made it very expensive now and greens were bumpy

Course was in great conditions. When many others are brown, losing tee boxes and edges of greens, this course is doing things the right way!
