Willow Creek Golf & Country Club
About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

unacceptable
one of the ranger person was giving us f word in the middle of the round? Everyone must have been frustrated by the slow pace of play today because of the groups ahead of us but our group weren’t even complaining about it and suddenly the ranger person came to us and was giving us an attitude like that? this is unacceptable. The person should be fired.

Somewhat disappointed
I was somewhat disappointed in the condition of the course. I played this course many times in the past but not in the last two years. In general the bunkers are in bad shape, ball marks are prevalent through out many greens, fairways have grass clippings though out the course. Pace of play was okay.
Thank you for your review! We apologize that you didn't enjoy your time with us and that our conditions didn't meet your expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will use your review to help us improve moving forward. Thank you again and we hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Ok but expect more
I played during Labor Day weekend in '21. Having played this course over 10x in the last 5 years I was a little disappointed with both the conditions of the course (specifically greens), along with the yardage. I admittedly forgot to bring my GPS device as did the 2 other people I played with. The yardage markers on the tee boxes (all the par 3's), along with the ones in the fairway were nearly invisible. The ones on the par 3's were all overgrown so we had dig around to find them. Many of the yardage markers in the fairway (100 ; 150 ; 200) were either missing or not clearly visible. We spent several minutes on each hole guessing how far away we were. Lastly, the cart provided died on the 7th hole and with no easy way of reaching the pro shop we had to wait a hole and a half before they provided a replacement. I expect more for this course especially considering it's one of the most expensive on Long Island!

Poor carts and bad bathroom conditions
We had to call club house to replace cart and was also dead again on 17th. Bathrooms were nasty, no toilet paper or paper towels. Just expect more from this golf course. But overall love playing there, just seem to slip a little bit on a golf course of this caliber !!!!!!!
