About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

Ok but expect more
I played during Labor Day weekend in '21. Having played this course over 10x in the last 5 years I was a little disappointed with both the conditions of the course (specifically greens), along with the yardage. I admittedly forgot to bring my GPS device as did the 2 other people I played with. The yardage markers on the tee boxes (all the par 3's), along with the ones in the fairway were nearly invisible. The ones on the par 3's were all overgrown so we had dig around to find them. Many of the yardage markers in the fairway (100 ; 150 ; 200) were either missing or not clearly visible. We spent several minutes on each hole guessing how far away we were. Lastly, the cart provided died on the 7th hole and with no easy way of reaching the pro shop we had to wait a hole and a half before they provided a replacement. I expect more for this course especially considering it's one of the most expensive on Long Island!

Poor carts and bad bathroom conditions
We had to call club house to replace cart and was also dead again on 17th. Bathrooms were nasty, no toilet paper or paper towels. Just expect more from this golf course. But overall love playing there, just seem to slip a little bit on a golf course of this caliber !!!!!!!

Course was aerated and so price u pay not worth it

It should be flat out illegal to NOT advertise that your greens were just aerated! $100 for that crap!

We have notes on all of our tee times warning golfers recovery conditions, so they are not surprised when they arrive at the course. 5 hour round on Friday is not acceptable
Green was aerated which is informed ahead of time. However the pace of play on a hot Friday is horrible. Almost 5 hours round. In the end saw 8 people playing together. The young guy from the course was not doing anything about it except watching on!

good thing we didn't pay full price for this round layout is nice pace of play one of the worst around . no ranger to move people along.

Have played Willow Creek a few time.
Great design
However...I
I was quite annoyed at the golf cart condition.
It was not washed down from previous use.
The cup holders area was filthy from spilled drinks.
Overall...dirty golf cart...yikes!!!
For the cost I expect a clean golf cart likes other courses...especially in these times.

Brothers Outing
Played with my 2 Brothers and my nephew... I warned the started we were going to be slow, though he informed us not to worry as most groups in front of us will be slow... Very friendly staff and an EXCELLENT course!!
