About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

Aeration
Let me start by saying I love this course it’s a great track a little pricey but worth it when it’s in tiptop shape. Signed up on golf now as a single to play at 8:20 no mention on the website about aerating fairways on any holes 15,16,17,18 all were aerated with plugs still in the fairways . Crews were out trying to clean them up as we were playing certainly not the time to be doing that while play is going on and to charge $89 is disappointing. Complain to the pro shop at first want to give me a free cart. Then decided to give a free round .

Rip off
It’s utterly disgusting that the course was kept open when the entire course and literally all fairways were dumped with manure/ fertiliser. Why would they keep open or charge $79 per person when the course not fit to play

Willow creek
Course was aerated with plugs on several fairways no one told me this

Good Overall
It was in good shape overall, but the green was slow because of the sand and aeration. It will be good from 3 weeks later.

Great Golf Course wrong time to play it
The greens were just aerated extremely choppy the fairways are also is one of the best on Long Island when it's in Peak condition now it's just nothing special looking forward to Play It Again in about another month when everything is grown in

Needs time to wake up
I've played Willow Creek dozens of times and yesterday was by far the worst shape I have seen it in. They aerated the greens and fairways, something the pro shop did not disclose when checking in. I only found that out when on the course. I'm hopeful that a few weeks of warm weather will turn things around as the conditions were not good. Very surprised they did not offer a reduced rate given the conditions. It's a great layout and I look forward to returning in a few weeks when hopefully everything will turn around.

Wait a month
Greens were still chopped up from the aeration. And the driving range being closed was annoying. Tough pretty course. Would play again when it’s in full swing.
