About
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club in Mount Sinai sits on Suffolk's scenic north shore. Opened in 2005, it is one of Long Island's newest golf courses but it has already established a reputation for being one of the area's most visually impressive. What makes the course stand out is the abundance of both sand and water. The number of bunkers on the golf course comes close to the triple digits and water appears on 12 holes. The lightning fast, wildly undulating greens are a challenging complement to the hazards. The layout presents a formidable test for even the best players. One of Hamlet Willow Creek's most difficult holes is the monstrous ninth, which features water on both sides of the seemingly endless fairway. With so much water, golfers almost forget about the three large bunkers that are also treacherously lurking on this hole.

The golf course is the best you can get for a public golf course on Long Island it is immaculate and the greens are so true the golf course is in perfect condition will be returning there very soon

Flags left out of the cup
I was the first to tee off and the ground crew that was working on the course left all of the flags out of the holes. I had to drive up to most of the greens and put the flag back in. It’s not what I would expect from a course that was that well maintained and the price of the greens fees.

Great Course
This course is a great value and a very nice challenge. Lots of bunkers makes it a target golf round, but there is plenty of room to miss without major penalty. The greens were stressed and so there was some bounce to the roll. The real grass practice range is an important feasting me. I will be heading back befor the end of the season.

Course well kept
The course was in excellent condition. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Very nice vista!
Back 9 is much tougher, esp hole #15. Holes are not very long but there are lots of bunkers and water hazards. Tee area and fairway grass/ground is very soft & spongy. Course is kept fairly immaculate. Cart roadway is well maintained without any significant cracks (unlike other courses). Would def return.

Course is in excellent shape. The fairways are in great shape. The rough is fair. The sand traps could use a little more sand than gravel. Overall this is one of the best public courses on Long Island!!!!

Best course you can play not named Black
The title of the review says it all. This is my favorite course on Long Island not named Bethpage Black. Play here all the time and the conditions are always second to none. The greens are almost spotless, the fairways are in great shape and rough thick and healthy. This course really reminds me of a Florida course with the bunkers and water. Ask for Tom Berry sho is the course pro. He’s super friendly and always happy to help.

One of the best courses on LI
One of the lesser known courses but definitely worth giving a try. Great conditions and really fun layout. Lots of water and greens are challenging. Get out there and play it as soon as you get the chance!
