Reviews
tight course
the course is quite tight with the balls almost always trying to trickle into the trees. Greens are on the fast side with moderate breaks . Nice mixture of hard and ez holes.
Overall course was in good shape. Greens were excellent. Fairways were good for the most part except a couple on the back nine. Tees were good considering it’s the end of the season. I played as a single and was in no hurry, practicing chipping and putting. Still played in under 4 hours.
Wonderful Staff
The course is in good condition. No halfway house or cart service.
Tight and Narrow
Great course Hard to find your ball with the fallen leaves. Fairway grass was a little thin should be great in the Spring
Great layout, soggy conditions
The greens were a little bumpy and the fairways were soggy from the rain the day before
We enjoyed The Woods at Cherry Creek
We got around in 3 and a half hours and enjoyed the golf course.
Potential
The course has some very good potential! The layout is great, but the conditions were horrible. The fairways were practically gone. You would be lucky if your ball landed on a plush piece of grass in the fairway. The greens were mediocre. Some rolled decent others were bad. The worst part were the sand traps!! There were rocks inside of them half the size of a golf balls!! Don’t hit out of them or your clubs we be scratched and knicked up! It’s to bad about the conditions because this course really does have potential to be nice.
This course is TIGHT!
I guess it’s called Woods for a reason. There was lots of it. Fairways are thin but aerated. Teebox and greens are in decent shape.
The Woods
The course isn't in good shape. The fairways are bare. The starter warned me about the course not in good shape. Due to the weather. Everything was fairway woods off the fairway. Sand and bunker traps bad shape. Greens very hard and not firm. It's late the season.
Great course
We played on a Sunday afternoon and there was no one on the course. The course was in good shape for the most part. I did lose a few balls because some fairways are narrow and the leaves on the fairway confused things. A great round.
Slow pace
The 4some in front of us were a hole and half behind from the 3rd hole on. Were warned by the ranger multiple times and thought they were the only ones on the course...... very frustrating 5 hour round.
Good Test
Hitting the ball straight is a must. Some interesting approach shots. and the greens demand your attention.
Nice course enjoyable day (Monday at noon)
You will enjoy this course, especially at golfnow hot deal rates...
Love this course!
Had a nice early round of golf. The course as always was in top shape, greens were perfect! Going out as a single, the starter was helpful and sent me to start on the back nine so I wouldn't get held up behind a number of groups that went out ahead of me. This was very helpful as I was squeezing this round in before work. All in all, I always enjoy playing The Woods, the course is always well maintained and challenging.
One of my favorite courses
Challenges change from hole to hole. Accuracy matters.
Love the narrow fairways .
Play here year around whenever it’s open
Keep it straight
The Woods is aptly named. There are more trees on this course than any other I've played. You need to hit it straight, especially off the tee. The course was in very nice shape. The greens were fast and true. If you score well here, your game is in good shape.
