Good layout
I really like this course. It is not iverly long but the trees keep it honest. Bunkers are well placed to keep a person honest on club selection. Overall worth the drive.
Great choice on the Island
We were visiting Long Island for the weekend and played a round. The course is in great shape and has a good amount of challenges. The holes are lined in trees so always best to hit straight. Some water and sand comes into play. The greens were in great shape. They had some facilities at the turn, and after the restaurant on site was great as well. Great option in the area.
Good day of golf
Course in very good shape...but needs work on bunkers and wider fairways. Greens fast and running true. Tee markers need to be change more often signs of wear on many tees. Over all very good public course. Staff very good and friendly.
Course in Excellent Condition and Challenging
The course is in Excellent condition and Challenging, especially if you have a tendency to be long and not always straight. Tight fairways but the treed areas are clean and open underneath. Greens are well protected with bunkers a some hidden water on a couple of holes. A good course for the experienced golfer.
Us open weekend
Nice course, tighter than it’s sister course across the street also a lot of trees, everybody working there was very pleasant from the club house, starter, ranger, halfway house and the lady on the cart with the drinks. Also nice too see the ranger driving around letting everybody know he was there!
Definitely will play there again. Great value for money and easy too get a teetime.
Nice course
The layout is fair but challenging. The fairways are fairly narrow with tough rough and trees so hit it straight. The greens hold well and roll well with not a lot of break. Syaff is friendly and helpful. The 19th hole had good service and food.
Excellent course and staff
We were in town for the US OPEN and decided to play the Wood at Cherry Hill. The course was in excellent condition. The rate of play was steady and minimal wait times. The greens and fairways we in great condition. The course is design for precision placement of the ball. If in the woods play out and take the stroke penalty. This will improve your score and make the experience pleasant. After our round we stayed for lunch. The staff was an absolute joy to be around. We ordered the wings and fries. Wings were seasoned and tasty. This was a great experience for me an my buddy. I will visit this course again. Also cost was very reasonable.
Tight Course... Didn't get the courage to use my driver until the back 9 which opened up a bit
Cherry Creek The Woods
Course was in great shape! Greens little slow due to the rain earlier. But the greens ran true.Staff was great and its tuff track. its very tight fairways. The rough was healthy. I wasn't in the sand alot. But only one time the sand was very soft.Tee boxes were great and had alot of grass. Its a short track from the tips. Long par 3s and mostly short par 4s and 5s. Played with a nice group of guys from NJ. Came out for the US Open. Definley tuff pin placements that day. Course is always in greate shape and well kept.
A great morning of Golf
Played this course on a Saturday morning. From the moment I walked until I left it was an outstanding morning. The staff at reception was friendly, the starter sent me right out to play. Play on the course moved along very well and I finished in under 4 hours. The course itself is a good test of any golfer. Good shots are rewarded with Birdie opportunities and errant shots take some imagination to recover for Par. I will definitely be back out on the course there soon.
Nice course
Good layout tough rough to hit out of. Course condition, staff, and pace of play were great. Playing again in 3 days.
My favorite Long Island course
I live in Nassau county but this is my favorite course on Long Island. As soon as I get on the course, I feel calmer and far away from the stresses of my life. The only sounds heard are the birds and there are few distractions. Yesterday I played with one other and we finished 18 holes in 3 hrs 10 minutes. The course was in good shape including the greens. I like a wooded course and the holes are interesting, not too hard and not too easy.
The woods
Played the woods on Tuesday June 5,2018 and it was brutal .walked off the course after 11 holes.took 250 mins for front 9 and ran into the ranger and asked what’s the hold up.the ranger said there is a super senior group that plays every Tuesday about 80 guys that teed off around 7 am.i teed off at 1030 and asked if they do a shot gun start maybe 2 groups on tee to avoid this mess and was told no shot but not a bad idea because it takes 5.5 hours to play on thAt day
Course friendly
Not a long course but tight I will place to pin placements
The staff was friendly, very helpful, but the guys I played with were not good. I was offered to go ahead of the group if necessary.
Always a challenging round. Good variety of holes. Course in excellent condition.
