There were a few really bad spots on some of the greens. The rough and fairways were well maintained. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. For the money this was a very good deal! I would definitely play this course again.
Good 8 hole
Goid 9 hole, especially for beginner golfer. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Great value and well maintained
I played this course during the day on a Thursday, and was only one of about 5 people on the entire course, which allowed me to play as fast or as slow as I wanted. I generally take about 3.5 hours to get through 18 holes, but I wanted to play fast and was able to go around this 9 hole course twice in about 3 hours. I enjoyed playing this course, especially for the low price I paid. Be prepared to pay extra if you want a cart.
Fun, rideable greens.
Course was short fun, not bad to walk. I have a sun mountain pull cart.
Always a pleasure!
There was a threat of rain, so I pretty much had the course to myself. Course was in great shape for this early. As always, the staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice practice round!
Great place for a quick 9 anytime
For a quick nine or as a warm up to a big weekend round Sweetwater is a great course. The staff is always welcoming and the course is well maintained year round. For example, there was not a leaf on a fairway or the rough any time I played last fall. The greens have some interesting contours and typically pretty consistent. If you want to play 18 play the second 9 from the blues and experience a very different course.
Sweetwater is a great value for your dollar.
good experience
Fairways were well maintained. Average course with good value
Awesome
Course was I awesome shape. They are doing a great job at keep the leaves off the fairways, greens and tee boxes. It's really nice that the manager makes it a point to greet you and ask how you are doing. Just a great experience all around.
A quiet gem
I suppose being 9 holes many people do not try this course, and I like it that way. I have played 18 here 3 times and will keep returning.
The course has a few challenging holes mixed in and is fun to play.
I would say its not too difficult. It is a very enjoyable course.
Also, never too crowded, like other local 9 hole courses.
All around disappointing
This was a lesson learned for me. Just because it's rated 4 stars and offers a good deal price-wise, doesn't mean it will offer anything but the bare minimum. This is a prime example of a no-frills type of course and if you don't have any expectations for the money you spend it's fine. I however am used to playing my home course with twice the amenities, character, and quality of upkeep for half the price, so I was quite disappointed. I won't be coming back here, and unless you are a beginner like the other reviewers talk about, don't waste your money here. There are plenty of better options in the area.
Great little 9 hole course!
Walk or ride, this course is very nice. Wide open fairways aid the beginner but there is enough challenge for skilled players as well.
Great beginner course
Took my girlfriend here for her first round ever. Very accommodating and wide open. Very affordable and fun to play.
Solid course
Great course to start out the year on. Undergoing some work on the one green, but overall well maintained
