Always in great shape
I’ll play this course as often as possible. Great condition and a great layout. Kudos to the starter for warning the group in front of us about their slow play after the 1st hole. They alone could have added an hour to our round.
Great public golf course
Very professional place for a public course from the cart guys, guys in pro shop and even a great starter who didn’t say a word when I lined up from the tips which is unusual but appreciated (see a guy hit first).
Worth your time
For a public course - Makefield is worth your time and money that offers a pretty yet challenging adventure on the green.
Makefield Highlands
Always a good choice to play this course. Greens, tees, and fairways are always good. Played this course about 5 times this summer, and paired with a father and his two sons. All 3 were players!
Terrible Experience
Went out at 5:20 and my son and myself paid 115$ and we barely got 9 holes in. It was so obnoxiously slow i would never recommend playing twilight at this course on a weekend.
Great course, but crazy slow!
Course is in great shape, but gets backed up at times!
Great Course
I am up from Florida for the summer. This is on of the best public courses around. I played at a private course 2 days before, and the greens today were just as good. It cost me half of what the private course was.
Pace of play
There was a foursome that was holding up the entire back nine. The clubhouse was called and nothing was done. The foursome was two holes behind.
Enjoyable track
I booked my tee time on Golf Now. Aside from little guidance, check in was seamless. I played as single and was paired with a father-son-friend threesome for my 2:00 pm tee time. The only other time I played this course was about 15 years ago during a frat brothers alumni gathering. The course is generally open. The course challenges are the sand traps and putting greens. I see from many recent posts the course airated the greens late (about a month ago). This move paid off as the greens were in very good shape. In fact the entire course was in very good shape. Our 18 hole round of golf was completed in 4 hours which by my standards is very good for a weekend round! I definitely recommend this course and I will certainly be back (hopefully sooner rather than 15 years later!).
GolfNow Greens Fee isn’t accurate
Played this course yesterday with a cart. GolfNow price said the price was $57 but when I went to pay the ProShop said the price was $77. I complained about the discrepancy but they just struggled their shoulders, throw another problem with GolfNow’s system on the pile.
Good Course
Great staff, nice setup! Pace of play was bad. Had to wait on every hole on the back nine.
