Makefield Highlands Golf Club

Played for the first time and only expectations were that it was somewhat wide open. Other than the lasting aeration on the greens the course was fun from the Blue tees. Liked the mixture of short and long par 4’s some very gettable par 5’s and some challenging par 3 holes. Look forward to playing again when the greens come together in a few weeks and knowing some of the driving lines and opportunities to score.

Big fan of Makefield! The fairways were firm and cut low. Also love the layout of the course. Only thing was the greens were still punched from the aeration.

Was kinda disappointed they had done their aerating so late in the season, and then the holes were not adequately filled with sand, so putting accurately or judging speed was impossible. Overall though, for a public course, this one is by far the best in the area.

I had heard so many good things about this course. I didn’t find it to be any of those things. In the pro shop nobody ever told me the greens were aerated. Plus the aeration process was the worst I’d ever seen. Some greens were too dressed with sand others were not some looked like they had come back fine others were in rough shape. Tees and rough, fairways had lots of patches of different grasses and weeds. Not what I would expected for $90 a round. Range is not good, mats were old targets were not great and grass was spotty at best. Overall just not what I would expect. Conditions overall should be perfect this time of year coming out of a mild winter and plenty of rain and sunny days but still looks like this course is months away from being $90 value in my eyes. At the end of the day I will not be returning and not recommending unfortunately.

My first time at this course. Will be going back for sure. Pace of play was awesome. Myself and two others walked at 7:00 am and was done in 3:15 minutes.

Greens were recently aerated so they were sandy and a bit choppy. The rest of the course was in great shape. I hope to be back in a few weeks when the greens have recovered.

I've always enjoyed this course. It has a fun and interesting layout and is usually in excellent condition. The only issue this time was the greens were recently aerated and putting was inconsistent. The quality of the course makes this forgivable but I hope to play again in a few weeks when the greens are back to normal.

It's nice to play a links course gor a change. Very challenging greens

Played here on Sunday afternoon. Expected it to be super slow but pace was actually quite decent. I think we went round in 4.5 hours. Condition was average. Greens were good but tee box areas a bit worn out. I think it’s a good place to play if you’re in the area and want to play golf, but don’t expect too much.

Course is outstanding. Never been here before but everyone was more than accommodating for directions since it is somewhat confusing at first. For early spring the course is in very good shape and you can tell it will only get better. Pace was better than I’d expected it would be.

Green were in good shape and rolled well. Tees, fairways & rough will be good in a week or two.

Great course! Love the layout and course in good shape. Definitely plan on coming back.

Course is coming in nicely from pre spring prep. Looking forward to getting back to Makefield Highlands.
