Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Great Round
We had a great round and the staff was extremely friendly. The course was in great shape. The only downside was the pace of play was incredibly slow. I'm not sure whether it was just the foursome we got stuck behind or if this is the norm there. Regardless it took us about 5 hours for are round. So I would definitely recommend playing here but make sure you aren't expecting to get done in 4 hours.
Terrible pace of play
5 1/2 hr round!!! No ranger. Pro shop did not care. Save your money and play somewhere else. Also waited 10 min. To get a beer at the bar. Terrible service
Great day all around
Thanks for a wonderful golf day with 3 friends.
Course great , staff friendly, weather perfect, no waiting, want to play again, blind tee shots and into the green, next time be a bit more prepared. It was all Good !
Morgan Hill beautiful and course in great condition !
Had a wonderful day of golf. Our 4some teed off 10 mins early because there was a opening. No group pushing us from behind and not waiting for any group in front of us , just a perfect pace. Course was in great shape! Some repair of fairway bunkers on back 9 changed a par 4 to a temporary tee par 3.
The rest of the course was in superb condition. The course is very challenging. I believe when I play it again in the future I will score a bit better as there are several blind tee shots and blind shots into the greens. The greens are challenging to anyone's ability and in great shape ! Staff was friendly and helpful, they told us don't try to read greens to much, go straight at the hole, and they were correct. Thank You for a great day of golf with 3 of my friends ! A day that will be remembered for years!
Great View of the Delaware River
Easy access online for booking. Great view of Delaware River from elevated tee boxes. Easy access from PA or NJ. Excellent Sunday Brunch!
Bunkers or rock gardens?
Morgan Hill always seems to have their fairways, greens and tee boxes in excellent shape -- my recent round was no exception. The only real complaint I have is that the bunkers have serious drainage issues (as in "lack of") and they are absolutely full of rocks. Not pebbles -- rocks. There's no real sand, just clay, water and rocks. I've mentioned this to staff before, and they say because of the very hilly rocky terrain the rocks keep intruding into the bunkers. Okay, whatever -- but if you can't keep rocks out of the bunkers, then you either need to excavate completely and fill with sand trucked in from outside, or you fill them in and turn them into grass bunkers. Either solution would be a huge improvement. As it stands, I won't go back until they address this issue.
Good Course and Good Workout
There are a lot of elevation changes and spectacular views while playing. As mentioned by others you will be tired at the end of the day because if the long walks from the cart path and the steep elevations. Holes are challenging because of the steep inclines and drops. Many times it feels like you are hitting into a void. Course is in excellent condition and would recommend it as a true challenge
Sun dial
Course is in pretty good shape. Some holes have worse conditions than others. Some fairways are getting burnt already. This is quite sad to see as the course is normally in excellent condition.
Challenging course when it comes to ball control. May want to pack extra balls just in case.
I've played there a handful of times this year so far and there is one thing that stands out not only to me, but the other golfers too. This feature would be the horrendous pace of play. I have no clue as to why it's so slow each time I've played there but I have yet to finish a round in under 5 hours because of constantly waiting on every hole..Beware of booking tee times in that regard. They really need to send a ranger out to keep the pace moving along. Or have the starters move the tee times around. No reason to be waiting at your ball for that long.
Save your money. More Importantly, save your time
I usually don't write course reviews because they usually tie into how you play but I feel like I have to let people know about this course. I feel it's ok to have a couple blind shots a round, but 20 is way to much. On top of that putting hazards and bunkers in the middle of blind shot fairways is unacceptable. You figure if you have tough conditions from the tee and approach shots they would give you a little break on the greens and pin placements. Nope. Tucked pins behind bunkers from 185 on several occasions from the middle of the fairway. Forget about walking this course. When your Golf cart can't even handle the terrain your feet will not either. Full disclosure I shot 79 today which is definitely a good round for me and to top it off I played for free. I don't care if they paid me to play here again. I will not return
Nice course
Play in an enjoyable afternoon with kind of windy condition. The course became more difficult and played long with wind blowing against you in some holes. The green is not as fast after heavy rains the night before.
A must play
If you haven't played Morgan Hill, you owe it to yourself to reserve a time. Beautiful scenery, very well maintained golf course, friendly staff and very reasonable rates. I never get tired of the hour drive to get there! Cheers to a great public golf course!
must try
This course is a challenge due to the unique layout and the different hole designs. It has a way that when you are enjoying the awesome views, the unique and fun design will challenge the best golfers.
amazing Views
awesome layout butvery average conditions...ball-marks not repaired, uneven bunkerss, burnt-out areas. spectacular views, extremely hilly, uneven and unpredictable bounces off uneven terrain Very slow pace of play. bring a sherpa!
Changes need to be made
I typically play this course 3 - 4 times a year but that will not be the case going forward. This was our second go round since we walked off the course on the 12th hole after 6 hours two weeks earlier. Only reason we went back was to redeem our free round coupons issued due to the delays on our first attempt. We were told the person giving out tee times spaces them 6 minutes apart, which is too short considering it starts with a par 5. While this time we finished in just under 5 hours (tee time at 7:30am), I looked at the course as we were wrapping up and it was another bottleneck. It appears the management does not care about pace of play, just cram as many people on the course and let them deal with it. Not surprising it is for sale. The course is in good shape and would be an enjoyable challenge if not for poor management!
Awesome Course
Course was in awesome shape as always love playing this course!!!!!
worst pace of play
1051 am tee time, Arrived half hour early and were told that there would be at least a half hour delay. Actual hit off first tee at 1135. It took 1 full hour to play the first two holes. I left at 4 after 14 holes. My playing partners finished at 505 for a 5 and a half round. Found out that the course let extra foursomes who did not have a set tee time on the course ahead of us, The slowest pace ever,
Great Golf Course
This course is very demanding a lot of elevation changes par 3"s exceptional you better have of a lot game or a lot balls
Horrible Staff
So it was Father's Day. One would expect delays. I did as well. I didn't expect to tee off an hour and a half late because the course didn't have enough carts for the golfers they booked. We were scheduled for 2:30 and didn't tee off until 4. They had no Senior staff there to moderate anything. The oldest employee that day was the cart girl. Everyone else looked like they weren't even 21. I don't have a huge problem with that except they had no authority over anyone. Groups kept splitting slowing our round to a crawl. It was an absolute mess and there was nothing these "kids" could do about it. There was one point where there were 3 groups on one tee box. And the concession stand at the turn was closed a full hour before it was supposed to be. So we didn't get food at the turn. I called three times later in the week to talk with the course manager. Left a message each time and never was called back. They clearly do not care about their customers at all. It's a shame because the course has great potential with amazing views. I will not be going back until they get their act straight with the staff. Absolutely terrible service and we didn't finish until it was dark.
I was on the course on Father's day as well. I agree with doublebob31 that the service was terrible. It did not appear that anyone over high school age was working at the course that day. We finished the round over 6 hours after our scheduled tee time.
To respond to pdmeastwood, there were not 3 rangers working the course on Father's day. My group called the proshop multiple times asking for a ranger to come out and talk to the groups in front of us that were holding up play. The proshop sent out the 2 young boys that were working at the bag drop. On busy days you could set up the course easier to speed up pace of play. There is no reason carts could not be allowed on hole 8. Also, easier pin positions would help since Father's day brings our inexperienced golfers. I physically saw 3 groups sitting on a tee box that day. If you had been there, you would have seen it as well. We asked the cart girl what time the concession stand was supposed to close. She gave a time that was 1 hour later than when it was actually closed. We left multiple complaints with the employees at the course that day. I am not sure why they did not make it to the course management.
In response to this rating the golf course has 3 rangers every weekend. Yes fathers day is know in the industry as being the slowest day of the year for play. As for the staff they do an outstanding job and did the best they could that day. It's unfortunate play sometimes can be difficult to control when the players do struggle with a golf course at times. As for 3 groups on a tee box that NEVER HAPPENED that day. Concession stand was open all day and no messages by staff were ever received. I again apologize for the day and pace has never been better!
So slow
Course was beautiful. Bunkers were filled with dirt for some reason. Pace of play was terrible and no ranger. I won't say whom we got stuck behind all day but I'll say they all wore visors and were slow as molasses. Good riddance. Will not play again on a weekend here.
One of the best in the Lehigh Valley
Been living in the Valley for 10+ years and for some reason I haven't played this course. I can say that I now regret the fact that I didn't play it sooner. In my opinion one of the most challenging courses in the area. I didn't play particularly well but I must say, I still had a blast! Elevation changes are significant, greens have a lot of slope, and had maybe one shot where the ball wasn't below or above my feet. I will be going back soon because it is definitely a course you have to play a couple times in order to shoot a good score.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
5 hours is normal when no empty hole there.
always slow play on weekend
