Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Golfer Reviews
Fasten your seat belts for this one!
This course is quite an adventure. Every hole has changes in elevation and sloping fairways. Even driving the cart around is a challenge; there are many steep downhill curves and one must pay attention 100% of the time. The course is well-kept and pretty with some lovely scenic views of the Lehigh Valley area. Next time I play this course, I will favor a "course management" strategy vs. "how long can I go."
I felt like a Mountain Climber
I thought the course was in perfect shape and very challenging. I honestly wouldn't go back unless I started training for maybe a triathlon first. Our entire foursome bailed after the 14th hole. It was 90 degrees, humid and very sunny when we were out there and we were dying. If you aren't in great shape, this course will beat you down. You will be climbing hills and walking up and down everywhere. If it was 75 degrees and I was 15 pounds lighter and training everyday, then maybe I would have enjoyed it more.
A chipper mood
Because there are about 6 greens that are very tough to hit onto, you better be a very good chipper. The greens were quick, and rarely a straight putt. Not an easy course, especially for seniors.
Test your game on uneven lies
Always nice course and well maintained course. Hot deal on weekend moring is always good price.
If you hit bad off the tee, there's always punishment.
Good teeshots not always lands on flat spot.
Every hole except a couple has extreme elevation change, so you can tst your game on uneven lies. Green conditions is ways on of the best in the county.
Once you are on teh green you can enjoy great view of Lehigh valley
This course has hills and valleys.
This is a course everyone should play at least once but not just once. The more you play here the more fun it would be as you could use some help as to where to hit the ball on tee shots and some approaches. A fair amount of blind shots and a couple of holes that are tough to find a place to hit your shot from the tee. Nice, big greens and lots of up and down shots. Beautiful views of Easton and the highways. A fair test but keep the ball in play. Leave the driver in the bag on some of the par 4's.
Lost distance between t boxes
Our round took 5.5 hours. I can't remember the last time I played a course over 4.5. The distance between tee boxes seemed like miles. The course is woven between a housing development and on a hill so perhaps the course layout was a bit of a challenge.
Tough course but fair. Lots of uneven lies. The rough is mowed too low making it easier...in my opinion. You won't lose many balls unless you rip one into the forest badly.
Clubhouse has a very nice restaurant and the food is great. Nice hut house drive through around the turn. On the course beverage service is always a plus in my opinion.
please read before booking or playing
This is what I experience on 5/25/15; upon arrival after checking in, the starter never had my name on the tee sheet for the 11:50am slot. After teeing off at 12:05, the course itself was very dry; tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens are turning from green to a dying brown color. ALL bunkers/sand traps were never raked and some barely had sand. Greens are taking a lot of abuse; many unrepaired ball marks, and dead areas of no grass on the greens. The par 3 hole 12 had a 3 to 4 group back up on the tee. Didnt finish my round until 6:30pm However I managed to shoot 1 over with 1 eagle and 2 birdies.
disapointed
they put us out in front of 50 veitnemise people. we had to keep yelling at the group behind us because they were driving their balls past us. never have we seen such deliberate harrassment before. they were cutting tru the fairway whlie we were playing. nobody seemed to care when we were finished. loved the course but will probably not go back.
First i would like to apologize for what happened yesterday. It is our commitment to make sure everyone enjoys a round of golf. I promise as the Director of Golf as well as ownership to never let something like this happen again. With GPS and additional staff we will stay on course to make everyone's round enjoyable. Again i would like to apologize.

The name HILLS described it
This is not an easy course, We play here one or twice a year and the green is fast and the hill makes it challenging. The club house is nice
Refused to accept the rate booked!!
Would have been a great experience on a beautiful course, but the staff immediately refused to accept the rate that was booked, claiming the rate started 1/2 hour after our tee time (even though we had paperwork confirming the booked rate). We asked to then tee off 1/2 hour later to qualify for the booked rate, and was given an absolute refusal. There was no snack stand, only a sit-down restaurant. The snack cart had no food other than chips. Unfortunately, the lack of staff professionalism and courtesy earns this course ZERO stars!!
I understand your frustration with the rate stated you were offered. Our rates are posted on our website and we have always honored any rate that has been reduced. Your foursome was given the lowest possible rate for that time and if there was a misunderstanding which i corrected and emailed you our rates then as the Director of Golf I apologize.

Best view in town
This was the 4th time I've made the short drive up to Morgan Hill. The course alone is breathtaking with it's scenic views overlooking the city of easton on the back 9. The greens are immaculate and the course has been in pristine condition each time I've played. As a former collegiate golfer accustomed to some very tough conditions I would rank Morgan Hill near the top as far as difficulty goes. From blind tee shots to undulating fairways and greens this course will test not only your accuracy but your touch on and around the greens. If you're looking for a confidence course to get your game feeling good I do not advise playing this course until you've sharpened your game quite a bit. For accurate and more polished players I advise playing this course more than once to get a true feel for how difficult this course can be. I brought a former college teammate that plays to a 4 handicap and he clawed his way to a 94 from the back tees. The second time playing he made vast improvements because he had a better idea of where you need to hit your tee shots in order to score.
Birdies are out there to be made if you know where to hit your approach shots. Stay below the hole as often as possible because a 12 footer downhill can easily turn into a 3 putt on these slick greens.
Amazing conditions, stellar views of the surrounding areas and a treat to play.
I would recommend even for the low handicap golfers play from the whites the first time or two. May not look intimidating on the card but this course will test your game and more importantly your nerves.
Great course
Course is always in great shape. Only thing bad about course is pace of play. Wished this was enforced like they here going to do.
I apologize for the bad pace you experienced. My staff as well as myself is committed to fix all pace problems. Brand new GPS was installed last week and with the addition of 2 to 3 rangers we can take care of all pace issues. Again i want to apologize and will make your next round more enjoyable.

Not bad...for a GolfNow price
Course was in good condition, fair amount of blind t-shots (not my favorite), and not much selection of decent beers at the bar. Interesting and sometimes frustrating pin placement.
Hills on hills
This course - which I played in August of 2014, was awesome when you start, but after, it gets worse and worse. There are nothing but blind shots, straight uphill, straight downhill. So many people take advantage of the deals and the residents must get discounts, because one day it took me 6 hours to play. I wouldn't go here much - but if you want a challenge, might as well.
Sir my name is Patrick Mallory and i am the Director of Golf. Your comment puzzles me. You mention you played in 2014 but you don't know that our entire fleet of carts have GPS. In looking at my reports which post times from our GPS not one round the entire season has been over 5 hours. I am sorry you feel this way about a golf course that is ranked year after year in the top 10 public golf courses and has hosted many local PGA events you would make a statement like this. I thank you for your comment but disagree with the entire statement.

Nice course, but has a pretty high level of difficulty.
The weather was cold and windy but we still enjoyed a good round of golf. Price was great, great eating and drinking available. Overall a good time.
Challenger course
Good maintenance, very nice course.
Some what difficult, not a good course for beginners. It takes a few tries to get use to.
Awful Experience Want My Money Back
When we arrived there were no carts! We waited for over and hour with six others for a cart. When the first carts came through, they had been started on the back nine, so still no cart, and now a large group coming through, keeping their carts and no chance for us to get out. Your slogan Go Play was only half correct, we went and did not play. We drove over an hour to get to the course. Would be nice to hear back, but I will not hold my breath!
Mountain Course
Superintendent doing a great job. Played day after big rain and course had drained well. Greens in very good condition. Play it for the vistas. Very challenging altitude variations. Must compensate club selection. Make sure you get the free tip sheet from the starter. Nice touch from the management.
I would like to speak to you about your complaint. I would also like to know the date you played? We now have GPS on all of the carts as well as 2 to 3 rangers on the golf course. We monitor our pace of play on a screen inside the shop as well as my rangers now have the screen as well on each of there carts. I can understand anyone's frustration as for slow play but these issues are taken serious and i have fixed everything on my end. I would love to speak to you about this because even your rating on my staff puzzles me. would love for you to call the shop and talk.
