Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Golfer Reviews
So slow
Course was beautiful. Bunkers were filled with dirt for some reason. Pace of play was terrible and no ranger. I won't say whom we got stuck behind all day but I'll say they all wore visors and were slow as molasses. Good riddance. Will not play again on a weekend here.
One of the best in the Lehigh Valley
Been living in the Valley for 10+ years and for some reason I haven't played this course. I can say that I now regret the fact that I didn't play it sooner. In my opinion one of the most challenging courses in the area. I didn't play particularly well but I must say, I still had a blast! Elevation changes are significant, greens have a lot of slope, and had maybe one shot where the ball wasn't below or above my feet. I will be going back soon because it is definitely a course you have to play a couple times in order to shoot a good score.
HIdden Gem
Played here with two other friends spur of the moment during the week. We are from NJ, but had heard about the course from some other folks.
We all agreed that it was one of our favorites. The course is very entertaining as it offers tremendous views and interesting layouts on every hole. Overall, quite challenging from the tips. The surfaces are a true test of your putting with a great deal of undulation. Also will challenge your ability to select proper clubs based on some pretty dramatic elevation changes tee to green.
Definitely stop to take in the gorgeous views that the course offers. This is not a course for the faint of heart. Even riding in a cart you will be doing some huffing and puffing to get around.
Terrible Pace of Play
The course is semi private. Our tee time was at 8:45 and we didn't tee off until 9:30. Even though all morning tee times were full the members of the course can squeeze in between already booked tee times. Not only did this cause a 45 minute delay in teeing off the round took over 5 hours. We waited on almost every shot. Before I play here again I will call pro shop regarding members squeezing in.
Long Weekend Round
This is a Kelly Blake Moran design (also did Lederach and Heritage Creek in the area. ) This is a very hilly course with huge elevation changes. There is a par three with a 140' drop and numerous other holes with drastic elevation changes. It makes clubbing a bit difficult for those without local knowledge. The overall course conditions were pretty good with thick rough, tight fairways, nice greens. Some of the white tee boxes were pretty chewed up but we played the green tees (one set back) and they were in very good shape. There were no championship tees so the tees were back on most holes with a total yardage in the 6700 yard range. I used every club in the bag. The hills begin to get a little old on the back side and by the fifteenth hole we were both pretty spent even though we took a cart. We did not see a ranger until the 16 the green and pace of play was over 5 hours. The cart girl made it around 4 or 5 times during the round. This is NOT a walking golf course, unless you have Sherpa in your blood. The bar staff was very nice and quick to serve. Good selection of on tap beers. Have the Dales Pale Ale you won't be disappointed.
Too many people
Played this course on a Sunday and they sent out groups right behind each other with no starter there to spread them out. By the second hole we caught up to the bottleneck. We quit on the sixteenth tee because there were two groups waiting and we had already been there six hours. The course itself is nice and difficult, but to send us out like sheep the way they did was incredibly frustrating. I will not play there again because I have a bad taste in my mouth and I don't like courses that don't mind their patrons spending all day there.
Beautiful course
Very hilly. But amazing views. 1 thing I would change tell the cart girl to ride around holes 5&6 as well as holes 13,14, and 15. Do not offer me a drink on hole 1 or 10 I just came from locations with beverages. I am sure she will make more money and more sales on those holes.
Really nice course, in beautiful shape.
Morgan Hill was a delight from arrival to departure. The course is in wonderful shape. We were greeted and welcomed. The started was delightful in directing us to practice facilities and sending us off with good wishes. Even on a weekday the beverage and food cart was out and made frequent passes. The greens are very fast and challenging to putt. The fairways are groomed and well kept. The sand traps were better than average. The pace of play was awesome, if slow, this is a course that can take 5 hours. Know that you will lose a ball or two because it is tight; so, to keep play moving, play line of sight, drop a ball and take your medicine. The views that you encounter during play are tremendous. You are very high up and overlook Easton, Phillipsburg, an for off into the Lehigh Valley. Overall, the best course I play in terms of conditions; yet, also, one of the more difficult courses. My recommendation is that anyone without a single digit handicap, tee it forward and enjoy.
Pace of play not managed well
The course is great, but on this day they did not manage the pace of play. We were waiting to take almost every shot. After 5 hours we were only through 15 and waiting at the 16 tee box when we couldn't take it anymore and left.
very slow, but solid course in very good condition
Morgan Hill must do something about their pace of play. Very, very slow and our tee time was delayed by half an hour. Barely got in our 18 holes.
They need to stretch out tee times and stick with it.
They need a ranger on course keeping groups moving.
"A Long Day's Journey!"
We have played here in the past and it was fine. This time wasn't as good. It took 5 hours and 41 minutes to play 18 holes. No excuse for that! Wow! I am thinking maybe they should spread the tee times out a little better. Oh well!
Very difficult, not fun for me
A very difficlut track with high rough and many blind shots. On top this, there was no food in the clubhouse on Memorial day and we were backed up more than one half hour on the first tee. We will not return.
3:55 to play 11 holes
This extremely difficult course with a lot of blind shots, hidden trouble and side hill greens was booking five to six minute tee times! No ranger to be seen. We watched several groups around us teeing from the tips but couldn't reach the fairways. No one policing it. We had a group in front of us that socially stood together on the green and took turns walking to their ball and putting. We played through a few groups and played 11 holes in 3:45. We waited on the tee to the par three 12 for about ten minutes and the fore some in front of us had not teed off yet. We decided we had enough and went back to the starter and he agreed that the course policies were terrible and suggested we complain to the club house. We did and got a voucher for free rounds another time. Decent of them to make the effort but I'm not sure I will ever go back, free or not.
This is a great course to play
It is a great place to use all u clubs and enjoy the views really like I will go back soon
You'll never see more blind shots
Course is always in good conditions. Greens run true if not extremely fast, with interesting undulations. There are always great views to enjoy.
But, it is incredible how many blind shots there are. I have never played a course with more.
Either become a member and learn it, or pass it up as an occassional guest.
Good course to play
Fairways were very wet due to lots of rain of the last night .lots of elevation change on the course .
It was vary hard to get on the green on regulation for me since even I hit the small green , the golf balls was bounced out of it. Greens were very undulated too. It gave us lots of chalange.
I would like recommend this course to anyone.
Difficult but fun
Awesome golf course but can be frustrating for a high handicapper, a lot of blind shots and uneven lies... Greens are tough but roll beautifully... I love the fact that I use every club in the bag each time I play there... Highly recommended, will be back very soon
Challenging Course with Majestic Views
I played here for $32 on a Saturday afternoon with a cart. The value is simply unbeatable. As for the course itself I thought the front 9 especially offered many interesting, challenging, and well designed holes. The back 9 has some very dramatic views of the Lehigh Valley and Delware River. The drawback is that on almost every hole on the back there are crazy elevation changes which get tiresome and make walking a virtual impossibility. I was able to take a picture of one of the most vivid rainbows I've ever seen on the 9th green. Definitely a plus. The only negatives I have are a wedding that made the small parking lot full and I had to park on the street pretty far away. Also, the starter appeared to be 12 years old with little expertise. Overall the value was tremendous and I can't wait to play it again.
