Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Golfer Reviews
overly tricked up
Someone told me this would be the best course I would never want to play again. I get it. Interesting layout and could be fun but very frustrating. Unfair pin locations and green complexes. Half the shots are blind. Problematic if you don't know the course. Unwalkable. Bunkers in awful shape. Need to pick up garbage in waste areas.
Great challenge for most levels
Turned out we played on the day they were hosting the chilli bowl open, which for 80 dollars you got 2 rounds of golf, unlimited chilli (tasted awesome) , and unlimited cheap keg beer (ran right through me). We went out as a threesome and caught up to a twosome who was 4 holes ahead of us, but with us at their back they sped up play, and so we managed to get the round in under 41/2 hours. The course overall was in great shape even though there was some minimal construction on 2 holes that did not affect play. We have played the course before so we knew where to place the ball to get a decent lie for second shot, but it is hard not to have the ball below or above your feet in the fairway. It is a long and frustrating round if you are playing this course for the first time. When the rough grows in you better find a fairway or chip out for your next shot. It was well worth the drive to play.
Gorgeous View
Fabulous experience but frustrating course. Gorgeous, scenic course but unfair in many respects for the average golfer. Extreme undulating greens, sloping and narrow fairways. In order to score well need to out think the course and play position golf instead of swinging away.
Beautiful course, but tough to play
Great course, but it's a very awkwardly designed course... Easily the slopiest course I've played, just hill after hill... It's also a very narrow course. Definitely not a course for beginners. If you're a seasoned golfer this course is a great challenge to see how good you really are. A lot of fun to play but can get you very frustrated. Definitely got my money's worth for the $30 I paid.
Great early season conditions.
Good Friday so it was crowded but moved along well. Will be back often I enjoy the course.
TP
LOVE THE COURSE, FEW GREENS TOO QUICK AND UNFAIR THOUGH
Well laid out course - lols of challenging shots
This course was well though out. great views. challenging holes.
Learning process
This is a course you have to learn how to play. The first time I played it I didn't really like it as there were too many hidden things. My friend wanted to go back and we did and the course was more enjoyable as we knew some of the quirks and we were paired that day with a local guy who knew the course well. It is a very visually pleasing course but very dangerous in places.
Love this course
One of the best kept secrets in tri-state area. I would happily pay $80-$100 to play here, but with GolfNow, you can often get it for a fraction of that price. Beautiful scenery, tough challenge, and always in great shape. Worth the trip from anywhere!
Yikes
I am sure during the spring/summer this course is much easier to play. The course itself was in great shape but the greens were just to hard to work out. This was one of the more challenging courses I have ever played and a lot of fun. Nothing was easy at this course and each hole was harder then the one before. I have never seen so many traps but they were really soft and easy to hit out of.
Excellent track. Winter round 49 degrees beautiful vistas
Great value for anyone at its regular weekday greens fee even better with the hot deal on golfnow!
Awesome track severe elevation changes. Not a flat green to be found. Real challenge
This course has great views.
If you are playing this courses for the first time, it is very hilly and a lot of blind holes. It was my first play and I could have easily lowered my score if I know the course.
Excellent layout, awesome views and some really beautiful holes.
This is a must play course. It will be the benchmark course for all the courses I will get to play for the rest of my life. I can't wait to play it again.
Nice course
Greens were firm and pretty fast, course is in excellent shape.
Always a pleasure
Morgan Hill is over nn hour away but we go a couple times a year because it is a challenging layout that is well maintained and the price is reasonable. I wish some of the golfers understood etiquette a little better but that likely is true at most public venues. I always recommend Morgan Hill to friends.
Hidden Gem
While you can see I-78 from the course, you wouldn't really know it was there from the highway. The course is in pristine condition, especially for October. Played it in a 15-25 MPH gusty wind, and it was an absolute bear. Be ready for uneven lies and not hitting driver off every tee as the elevation changes a lot on every hole. For the price you can get it on here, it's a total steal.
Only complaint was that the halfway house was unstaffed, despite the advertisement in the cart of a food/beer special.
This is NO cow pasture!
I Love this course! It is exciting hole after hole!
The holes are cut into a small mountain each and everyone more exciting than the next. If you finish a hole and it kicked your butt you will wish you could jump back and give it another try! If you finish a hole with a par or better you will feel like a God! Add to this views that are outstanding, conditions that are very nice, now consider that this course did not cost you a fortune....HOME RUN!!!
Course with a view
Nice course in very good condition with lots of terrain grade changes; often difficult to have a flat lie even in the fairway. About 6 holes are almost insane requiring highly-precise shots. A number of blind tee shots. Nice view on back 9.
Six hours and three minutes!!!!!!!!!!!
If you don't mind a five and a half plus hour round than by all means avail yourself of this course. This was my second 51/2 hour plus round in a row, I am sad to say I will not return. When I inquired as to why the pace was slow, the response was, "the marshals called in sick."
So perhaps my absence will speed up the pace a bit. It's a shame, it's a lovely course, very challenging, but at 6 hours, it is absolutely no fun. Everyone is frustrated and no one has a good time.
