Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Golfer Reviews
A fine, links style course
First, the greatest difficulty with playing here for the first time was not being sure of the best line to the greens, especially those greens that are unseen. The greens were in great shape despite the hot weather, and they are very large, so if you are on the wrong side of the green, you can have very long, undulating putts. Before playing here, you need to be aware that it is quite hilly and you are most likely to have many side hill lies. The course was well maintained except for the sand traps, most of which were awful due to storms that had created havoc to them the previous two evenings. It looked as if the maintenance staff had done nothing to repair them on the day I was there. All of the pro shop and starter staff were VERY friendly and the Golf Now value was excellent. Two of us played mid-morning, mid-week and finished in a comfortable 4 hours without anyone in front of us.
Too many blind shots.
Beautiful scenery. Course is ridiculously difficult. Too many blind shots... Definitely a humbling experience but also an annoying one. Unless you are a very experienced golfer, stay away.
Hilly and awesoe
This is the best very hilly course I have ever played. There is a good mix of long and short holes and several outstanding views. A true pleasure to play.
Tough, scenic, and great condition
The course is a mountain course with scenic vistas. There are very few flat lies so bring your A game! Conditions are great so one needs to enjoy the experience and don't lament over a "not so
stellar" round.
Great course,spectacular views.
Loved the course. Greens had more than enough contour, without any prior experience, lots of surprises. I recommend playing with someone who can give pointers on where to play your shots. Sometimes when hitting a blind shot without a lookout, ball can be difficult to find. Enjoy and don't let the unexpected get to you.
great course
Early tee time will get you through the course in less than 4 hours. Show up in the afternoon like we did this time and you are in for a long day. The water jugs were empty by the time we reached the turn, but overall they take care of you very well. Cart girl swings around about every 4 holes.
Course is difficult, very rarely you have a flat lie. Love the course, bring your A game or your pride is sure to get hurt!
alot of elevation changes
course was in good shape, greens were in very good condition and rolled very nicely, the bunkers were another story, they appeared to have been unattended from regular maintenance, footprints all over. Our tee time was delayed because they did a shotgun start in the morning and would not allow us to tee off.
Great course, great value for money.
Would definitely come back to play again. Course was in great shape and the greens were excellent. My only issue was a lack of sand in some of the bunkers.
Course is in great condition.
Course is in great condition and is a challenge to play. After playing it a few times you learn where to play your shots to stay out of trouble and it is a lot of fun.
Staff very rude!
Had a 9:12 tee time, friend and I we were scheduled to be paired with another twosome, but they didn't show. Made us wait 20 minutes until they decided to send us out as a twosome. Pace of play was extremely slow. Saw ranger on 13th hole, and mentioned to him that pace was very slow. He responded very rudely and said " we'll what do you expect, you are a twosome." We replied saying that had nothing to do with it, at the pace we were playing it would have been a 5 1/2 round regardless. We were so upset that we left without finishing and told them at the pro shop what happened, they did not offer any consolation. Will never return there! Oh and by the way holes 15 and 16 were wide open as we drove to the car, if the ranger was doing his job there would not have been close to that kind of delay.
fun but long waits
A great course and very scenic but the course was so packed that we waited at least 10 mins on every tee box before teeing off.
Many hills which makes it challenging. Overall, very good course.
Too many blind shots without a course description booklet.
I'd be OK with all the blind shots if you were given a course layout with hole descriptions and notes on how to play the hole. Its not the friendliest course when you step onto a tee box and have no idea where the landing spot is supposed to be and at what yardage the numerous fairway bunkers are located. The course is really nice and challenging but without some direction for most holes, its easy to get yourself in trouble that could have been easily avoidable with a little understanding of the layout.
The cost was $69 for the weekend but I used a golfnow coupon code and we got on for $45/person for my Sunday foursome. I would not pay the $69 when every other local course is under $60.
Our round lasted almost 6 hours in 90+ degree weather. The rangers were trying to make the slow parties in front of us speed up, but really they should have tossed them from the course. 6 hours is way too long, especially in the heat. The couple behind us gave up after 15 holes and left the course. We waiting almost 5 minutes per shot throughout our entire round.
On the plus side, the staff was super friendly and the course was in great shape. We play this course once per summer and our foursome always groans when this place is chosen.
No tweo holes alike
Very challenging. Many unlevel lies. Greens are big and tough to read. Great golf course so if you want a good test of golf than this is the course for you.
difficult challenging course with great conditions and scenery
morgan hill is fairly difficult because on its hilly conditions and blind shots. the views are spectacular and the conditions are always pristine. I love morgan hill and play it as much as possible even though I live one hour away
gtrst course
course too overbooked with tee times too close together. 5 hour round and cannot blame it of the group in front of us.
Course was great and beautiful with spectacular views
Great track
Great track. Very difficult, with very few flat lies. Great test of golf. Not for the beginner golfer. Brutal course if it is cart path only. You need to play it from the tees that your handicap warrants. We played behind guys playing from the blue tees that should have been playing from the Red tees. Which makes for a long round. We'll definitely be back.
Unusual and memorable holes, great condition, good value.
I've played this course several times, and it's always in good or excellent condition. It has lots of elevation changes, nice views, and many memorable holes that, to me, make it the most entertaining course around. But there are a lot of blind shots, so don't expect to score well the first time you play it. The clubhouse and staff are very nice, and the food at the bar is very good.
The only negatives about my last round were that our tee time was delayed by 45 min due to a shortage of carts, and the pace of play was slow. I haven't encountered those issues in the past. Overall, playing The Club at Morgan Hill is a unique and memorable experience, and a good value.
Challenging course but very nice
We played on a windy day and it was very difficult. Nevertheless, it is a very nice course and well maintained. Enjoyed it very much. Will play at least couple more round here this year.
