Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Staff very rude!
Had a 9:12 tee time, friend and I we were scheduled to be paired with another twosome, but they didn't show. Made us wait 20 minutes until they decided to send us out as a twosome. Pace of play was extremely slow. Saw ranger on 13th hole, and mentioned to him that pace was very slow. He responded very rudely and said " we'll what do you expect, you are a twosome." We replied saying that had nothing to do with it, at the pace we were playing it would have been a 5 1/2 round regardless. We were so upset that we left without finishing and told them at the pro shop what happened, they did not offer any consolation. Will never return there! Oh and by the way holes 15 and 16 were wide open as we drove to the car, if the ranger was doing his job there would not have been close to that kind of delay.
fun but long waits
A great course and very scenic but the course was so packed that we waited at least 10 mins on every tee box before teeing off.
Many hills which makes it challenging. Overall, very good course.
Too many blind shots without a course description booklet.
I'd be OK with all the blind shots if you were given a course layout with hole descriptions and notes on how to play the hole. Its not the friendliest course when you step onto a tee box and have no idea where the landing spot is supposed to be and at what yardage the numerous fairway bunkers are located. The course is really nice and challenging but without some direction for most holes, its easy to get yourself in trouble that could have been easily avoidable with a little understanding of the layout.
The cost was $69 for the weekend but I used a golfnow coupon code and we got on for $45/person for my Sunday foursome. I would not pay the $69 when every other local course is under $60.
Our round lasted almost 6 hours in 90+ degree weather. The rangers were trying to make the slow parties in front of us speed up, but really they should have tossed them from the course. 6 hours is way too long, especially in the heat. The couple behind us gave up after 15 holes and left the course. We waiting almost 5 minutes per shot throughout our entire round.
On the plus side, the staff was super friendly and the course was in great shape. We play this course once per summer and our foursome always groans when this place is chosen.
No tweo holes alike
Very challenging. Many unlevel lies. Greens are big and tough to read. Great golf course so if you want a good test of golf than this is the course for you.
Too hilly for my age group.
Too many hills and blind shots. The sand traps were also full of rocks.
many blind shots!
Too hilly for my age group. Sand traps need the rocks removed.
difficult challenging course with great conditions and scenery
morgan hill is fairly difficult because on its hilly conditions and blind shots. the views are spectacular and the conditions are always pristine. I love morgan hill and play it as much as possible even though I live one hour away
gtrst course
course too overbooked with tee times too close together. 5 hour round and cannot blame it of the group in front of us.
Course was great and beautiful with spectacular views
Great track
Great track. Very difficult, with very few flat lies. Great test of golf. Not for the beginner golfer. Brutal course if it is cart path only. You need to play it from the tees that your handicap warrants. We played behind guys playing from the blue tees that should have been playing from the Red tees. Which makes for a long round. We'll definitely be back.
Unusual and memorable holes, great condition, good value.
I've played this course several times, and it's always in good or excellent condition. It has lots of elevation changes, nice views, and many memorable holes that, to me, make it the most entertaining course around. But there are a lot of blind shots, so don't expect to score well the first time you play it. The clubhouse and staff are very nice, and the food at the bar is very good.
The only negatives about my last round were that our tee time was delayed by 45 min due to a shortage of carts, and the pace of play was slow. I haven't encountered those issues in the past. Overall, playing The Club at Morgan Hill is a unique and memorable experience, and a good value.
Challenging course but very nice
We played on a windy day and it was very difficult. Nevertheless, it is a very nice course and well maintained. Enjoyed it very much. Will play at least couple more round here this year.
Mountain course, difficult, more so when there is wind. Slow play.
Great course. Unfortunately, the pace of play was very slow. Our foursome played in just over 5 3/4 hours. Geens were firm and fast. The day we plyed there was too much wind (this couse is much better without). It's on a mountain, so every hole had elevation to it. Fortunately, we were planning on finishing around dinner time. The food in the restaurant is very good. Great bar menu.
Great course
It was really windy the day we went, but the course was still in great shape!
Well maintained, great views!
This course is not for the faint of heart. It is always one of the best maintained courses in the valley. There are many challenges on this course from the undulating greens to the elevation changes. After playing the course a few times your comfort level increases. One of my favorite holes on the course is # 12 it is a par three that has an elevated tee box the large green is 50 feet below. Watching the tee shot fall on the green is very cool. The food at the course is spectacular and fairly priced.
OMG..........you've got to be a mountain goat !
What a beautiful course. There's a challenge on alomost evey hole. Sand traps are well maintained, greens are great (all be it, a little slow), and the fairways are nice and wide on many holes. Yet, the course is super challenging due to the elevation changes causing you to club up or down on many holes. I would play it again, next year. Once a year is plenty.
nice but difficult
Beautiful course with great views. Course is kept in great shape. Very challenging with a lot of blind shots but a lot of fun. Excellent value especially if you get deal on Golfnow.
Sunday's provide no food available.
Checked in, but was not warned food or drinks not available on the course, or that the halfway house was closed. No water cups on most of the on-course coolers.
Fun place to play
We have played here many times even though it is a good hour ride from our homes. A fun and challenging layout with great views of the surrounding areas. Conditions are always good. The great price + the quality of the course makes this one of our favorite places to play.
Great course, great conditions all for a great price!
Morgan Hill is always in great shape. The staff is very accommodating each and every time I play there. IT is a very challenging course and will test every part of your game and I like that. It is one of the best courses for the money that you can play in the area.
Humbling experience. Not for the average bogey golfer.
Too many blind shots. Never a flat lie. The greens are all elevated and sloped so it is tough to keep the ball on the green unless you land in the middle.
