Meadowood Golf & Tennis Club

I booked this course through golf now, as a hot deal. I have played this course multiple times in the past years.

I was unaware it was under constuction. While the golf now site said course alert, when I clicked on it , it gave no additional information.

Upon arriving at the course we found out it was under construction and 2 holes had temporary greens. OK.

The course price was the same as our supposed golf now hot deal??

Once on the course, the maintenance wasn't awful, however the course it self was in bad condition. We could tell the course had not been maintained for some time.

Then when we arrived at the 16th hole, it was closed completely and was unplayable.

We were not told this, it was to have a temporary green.

Back at the proshop, we spoke with the proshop personell. They said they were unaware of number 16 being closed.

When we asked about the pricing and condition (nicely by the way) We were told to contact golf now, that there should have been a course alert. As mentioned the alert was there but with no information.

Not a great experience.

They should pay us to play this course. It was under construction and the greens were non-existent. They did not tell us how bad the course was. It is a shame, because it used to be a beautiful course. I am glad I did not bring guests as it would have been embarrassing.

Prior to booking I noticed the system indicated a course alert. Called customer service first then called the pro shop. Was told the greens were in great shape and really fast but some holes would be closed and or temporary greens would be starting next week. The course was playable but in need of some TLC. The greens were very fast BUT NOT GREEN. They had a tightly cut putting surface that appeared to have died due to lack of water or had been chemically treated. brown and dead. We like playing the course and it was reasonably priced.

Just disappointed.

Beautiful course, clubhouse and property. Will be spectacular nxt year Doing alot of work on course and shoulda told us when booking

I wish that I had known they were preparing replace the greens and install new irrigation. The existing greens are terrible and the course overall did not meet my expectations. I certainly would not go back there for at least a year.

It was my son’s birthday and this was the course he chose to play at , he was so disappointed. If it would have been an earlier t-time we would have just walked off

Rude people , the charged me twice , still waiting to see if the put the money back on my card

Overall it was terrible , I play with former and current MLB players and we usually play country clubs no public , but once in awhile we play the Florida Club , Astor , and Sandridge just to name a few

Love playing out of state

I own a very successful business and I would never recommend this goat farm of a course

The course is under construction. Greens, irrigation. supposed to be in process through summer. I highly recommend that you come anyway. Clubhouse looks like Old Florida Money, Beautiful, Food is Excellent. Staff is perhaps the most customer focused I've seen. The course though very dry because irrigation system is being replaced, is still very playable. This is a beautiful course and I can't wait until the greens are replaced and the course is green again. Not your typical boring hole after hole that looks the same here in Florida. A MUST PLAY.

I really like this course and it was in perfect condition 6 weeks ago. What happened? The greens are now in terrible shape and the fairway is full of weed. That is really too bad because it is a nice course to play, but not in those condition at regular rate.

Very sadly, all the greens are burnt because they will re build them. They are placing side greens 😫

For the price, very disappointing. The fairways are not at their best. Sorry....

They are redesigning the holes and put chemicals on the greens to kill them and made no mention before sending us out. Every holes the greens were burned out.

The course had one hole closed for work that's fine but when we arrived at the 18th tee there were two groups that had come to the tee to play the missing hole. They just butted in like we shouldn't mind well we did because we had been held up all day by slow play. The golf course had killed all the greens and did not tell us. Worst tee-off experience ever someone should have told us about the conditions, we would have not played.

Should have warned guests 1 hole was closed and course was closing April 15th.

I usually play Meadowood once a week since moving to Ft Pierce three months ago. Yesterday I came to the course and found all of the greens had been killed, as they are planning to replace the greens soon. There will be temporary greens until around September. They are also replacing the irrigation system, requiring one hole to be closed until the job is finished. The course is normally a great layout and worth the money, but right now it's just not worth the current fees, IMHO.

Overall the course was good at best. They are doing work on the course so it’s in need of repair. Greens are bad. (They are about to redo them) I think once done they will be good.

Fun course, great layout that makes you use every club in your bag but also gives you options on how to play certain holes. The greens are the biggest defense on this course with the multiple tiers and slopes. They were in the middle of upgrading their sprinkler system so there’s some ground under repair areas which wasn’t really in the way. The greens need some love but ran decent. I believe they are getting new greens in the near future (not sure exactly when). Great pace of play! Can’t wait to play it again.

Good course but need a ranger. Too slow. Greens need work. They are working on waterint the greens. It will be a nice course in a year
