Meadowood Golf & Tennis Club

Definitely mixed reviews on this course. Layout is pretty interesting and varied, staff was fine, clubhouse was nice, price is right. Course conditions pretty bad in in some areas, like tee boxes with no grass, some greens with burnt/rotted out areas I guess from all the rain. But several others were fine. Also hole#12 supposedly closed due to irrigation repairs but it seemed open this day. All kind of expected stuff if you pay $80 or less vs.$120 or higher in high season.

The layout was great. Would have been a lot better if the conditions were a little better.

Nice course layout. With some work, this could be a really nice course. I know they are working on improving it. Staff isn’t very friendly.

Great clubhouse. They make you hit on range off mates- I don’t care for that.

Played here for the first time last Sunday and would definitely go back anytime. It rained a bit before we went out and the course drainage was outstanding. They have a lot of good, well laid out holes. Staff was very friendly. For a course that snakes through a community like so many in Florida, this course has very generously wide fairways.

They were ‘fixing the irrigation’ which I guess could be the excuse for the poor course conditions. Burnt and dead grass everywhere. This should have been fixed before we were ‘in season’. Travel south to St Lucie and you will find MUCH better courses for the same price. I will say that the greens were long but somewhat putt-able. Fun layout if it was kept up with. Will not be back.

Course was under repair for irrigation issues on #1 (which was closed for play) and other fairway growth issues. Was told by a local that they are in the process of doing a major overhaul soon (green resurfacing, new fairway grass, etc.) Will wait until improvements are complete before giving it another go. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, a good track with a nice layout.

I play this course a couple of times a year. Last year the greens were AWFUL. This year they’ve done a lot of work on them and they are getting much better but there are still blotchy and bare spots on the some greens. They do run fairly true though. Many of the tees need to be reseeded or replaced as some were bare and torn up. Layout is very nice. Seems like they are trying to improve the course but still not in the shape as others such as Sandridge or Fairwinds. Will try again as it appears they are making good progress on the course

Greens and tee boxes need lots of work. Pace of play was slow. Staff isn’t very friendly. I do like the course layout. Price is too high for what you get.

The course was generally good shape, greens were rolling well (consistent and on fast side) but did have some bare spots on a few of the greens. Pace of play decent but could use a ranger to move the slower groups along.

Very fair course without blind shots everywhere. Greens a little slower than normal due primarily to the extreme amount of rainfall previously and time of day we played but all in all well worth the Golf Now "hot deal" green fee.
