Excellent course
Couldn’t fault the course but the pace of play was really slow. We were a two ball in a buggy so played fairly quickly but the four ball in front of us were really slow and wouldn’t call us through. Waited 5-10 mins on every teebox and in every fairway. Very frustrating. It’s seems courtesy and etiquette have been completely lost on golf courses these days. Maybe clubs should have marshals on the course to prevent slow play? Again, the course was excellent but would’ve enjoyed the game a lot more if this was addressed, maybe a reminder when checking in, to always let quicker players through?
Lovely course
Tough test of golf, with something for everyone. Fairways lush and green, greens consistent and undulating. Need to play a few times to recognise where to put shots.
No course planners available, watch out for biting flies down near the lakes!
Overall, would love to go back and play again
Great Championship Course
Overall condition and design of the course was excellent. However I found myself repairing 6 or 7 pitch marks on some of the greens.
Very nice course, staff a little grumpy.
The course is great but definite 'you're not a member's vibes in the clubhouse.
Wet Friday
The course suffered from the very heavy rain that morning with anything of the fairways (where I spend most of my time!) very very wet and boggy which made it very difficult to play from. This was a very rare exception to what is almost always a pristine golf course and is always a pleasure to play.
A old classic that's a little unloved
So I'm a previous member of this club..
It's a very challenging course, the old course we played pkus the new is also great.
I could not believe my eyes, the greens had so many un repaired pitch marks.
There must have been on average 12 to 20 per green. Very sad to see and certainly it was never like that when I was a member. Its a tight course where you need to shape the ball both ways, the greens are probably some of the smallest you'll see
Hopefully the members start repairing 2 to 3 extra pitch marks per green to make up for the clowns who don't do it.
Thanks
Course ambiance greens
Excellent course. Underfoot solid. Trees views gorgeous. Greens fair.
One of the best courses in Ireland
Easily up there with the best in Ireland. Every hole has something to offer. Well maintained too.
Beautiful Meath
The Headfort Golf course and club is truly a jewel in the crown of the Royal county. Amazing course layout, superbly conditioned and a real challenge for a golfer at any level. I regularly recommend this course to my friends
