enjoyable layout after the 6th

The first six holes are very typical parkland layout, many trees but not too dense, a little bit up and down. Holes 7 through to a very strong 18th finish are very much more interesting, and given the wonderful views of clew bay from 12 through to 16, DEFINATELY a course worth visiting ( or a revisit in my case)Course was in really good condition, the rough although not long, was pretty thick and took a good shot to get out of, very friendly welcome. Locker room was a little dated but perfectly functional.

Excellent course

The back nine on this course is really strong. There is a long par three (220yds downhill) which is spectacular and a few others after that where you are playing along or over the water (with mountains in the background) - the wind was moderate to strong when we were there which made is challenging but a great experience.

Great course

Arrived early and was welcomed as soon as I got out the car. Was informed there was a slight delay due to frost but the club pro was really friendly and welcoming. The back 9 of the course has some fantastic holes with stunning views and the general course conditions were great.

Holes become more testing

A very warm welcome from Paul who was also very helpful. The course was in good condition and became more testing as we went along. The back 9 holes are really interesting. Unfortunately there was no food available that day. Would definitely play it again.

Easy front.. Challenging back 9

Excellent course. Front 9 quite wide and straight. You start feeling extremely comfortable and relaxed, then the back 9 brings you back to reality. It is however a spectacular setting with the Reek in the background. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful course, back 9 is amazing

A brilliant course. Got a great tee time and deal on golf now. I was a single golfer playing for first time.

Course well manicured (not enough divots replaced by players), greens play true and scenery, stunning (particularly back 9). Imperative to stay on fairways as tough is lush.

I was stuck behind a 3 ball of senior lady golfers for 6 holes on front 9 after I caught them up. Very slow play, refusal to acknowledge me waiting on every tee and didn’t play through. Despite signs on the course about pace of play. People like this seem entitled. Clearly members.

Overall highly recommend but check you are not stuck behind slow groups.
