Loughrea Golf Club

the course overall was in great condition, greens were quick but not unmanageable, open fairways with plenty of wide greens,some of greens require tricky approach shots for correct placements,

my only concern was the very poor tee boxes, a lot were temporary with matts or tee off area in front of a perfect flat lush tee box ,

I should think in a couple of weeks when there in use it will elevate the course

Lovely game of golf 2 others in same TTime lovely lads good company..The weather was not the best for golfing but we played all 18 holes.Alot of temporary TBoxes and mats where maintenance work going on..A nice course on a warm sunny day..

The two women in the clubhouse were extremely helpful and kind. Overall a great day out, great course.

Played here for the first time. Got lost on the way to the course but was accommodated. Nice layout and couse condition. Lots of elevation changes in particular on the back

Enjoyed the course and place of play was not an issue.

Superb conditions given the low green fees.. course layout is interesting with many pimple greens

Went our as a pair early in the morning, as the staff were extremely flexible in letting us out earlier than booked.

Course in good condition and quite dry considering heavy recent rain.

Front 9 is pretty tame but the round rises to a crescendo on the back 9, with 14 and 15 the particular highlights.

Some trees down following storms earlier in the ear, but this isn't so much of a bad thing as it opens out the course a bit and allows more shot making.

Brilliant course to play for high handicappers like myself only lost 1 ball lots of room for wayward shots. Greens are super fast. Pace of play was slow over 5 hrs but members were friendly and liked a chat so really enjoyed it. Had food in club house really tasty food. I could not recommend this course highly enough.

Although Loughrea might not be the longest course, the narrow fairways and small greens requires accuracy and good shot making ability. The greens were in perfect condition and had a pure roll. Credit to the course staff who are in charge of the greens.

There are some great holes with elevated tee boxes. For a short course the 10th par 5, felt like one of the longest holes I've played.

The staff were accommodating and friendly when we arrived. I would pay 25 euro in heartbeat to play that course again. Great value for money.

Was a poor day weather wise which didn’t help. The course is always a good challenge, however no where to purchase balls or no pro shop.

Pace of play is always slow any Saturday I have played here and would recommend getting out as early as possible to try get ahead of it .

Gorgeous sunny day matched only by the welcome from staff and members at the club, truly faultless.

Course had great variety and was in excellent condition with very true greens.

For the money, this may have been the best value I ll have all year.

Can't wait to return.
