I would avoid this course for now because of their lack of Covid guidelines. The course was great.
My buddy found this place and we took a drive from West Palm. The course has a great layout and range balls were included in the price which was a nice surprise. Tough greens to hit because a lot of them were elevated and protecting by bunkers. Great course especially for the money. The reason I would avoice this course for now is because THEY MAKE YOU SHARE A CART. My friend and I requested separate carts like we have been doing since April. Every course I have played since April makes you drive in separate carts but this course actually MADE US RIDE TOGETHER. Was not a fan of that. If this doesn't bother you then you should def check this course out. I will be avoiding this course unfortunately for a while because of Covid and there lack of guidelines. Everything was great excep this which is why I am rating the expeirnce 1 star but the course and the price is 5 stars. Greens were a little slow but not bumpy.
Interesting Covid Ideas
So, Paid for the course. Got to the pro shop had to wear a mask or not allowed in, no problem. checked in got my cart did driving and putting range and went to first tee. there upon I was surprised to learn I would be paired up with a stranger (I was a single) the only problem was we were to be in same cart this was a major contradiction in the rules. couldn't go into proshop without a mask but paired up with a complete stranger in a cart. However, not a problem if I wanted to pay another $20 for my own cart. Sounds suspiciously like profiting from Covid to me. Won't be playing the course again. BTW the green were atrociously slow and in bad conditions. I waited a long time to play this course, what a great disappointment.
Great layout. Greens need work. Patchy and very slow
Golf At Its Finest
I’ve played many great courses over the years from my bucket list, and this course was as good as most of them. It certainly is one of the best values on the east coast of FL. From the tee boxes to the greens, the course was in great shape.
However, it is not for the faint of heart, as it provides many opportunities to find water, houses and other “stuff” you can’t look for other’s stray shots in. Fortunately, I was not plagued too much by these hazards.
Without question, I would recommend this course to locals and out-of-towners, like me from Chicago.
Top 5 course on the entire east coast
Lost Lake is simply one of the best golf courses on the entire East coast from Jacksonville to Miami. I've lived in Jacksonville and in Miami and now live in Port Saint Lucie so I have literally played up and down the whole coast. Conditions are immaculate. Staff is wonderful from cart personnel to Pro shop. Liz in the pro shop is absolutely wonderful. I called and asked about taking my daughter as a ride along and she said that is not problem and told me how much. For a very reasonable small fee I had an absolute blast with my daughter and a few friends. As a professional athlete (Not a Pro Golfer, lolololol) anytime spent with my daughter means the world to me. What most might think is a small thing her riding along is very big to her and i and I thank Liz and the staff for accommodating us. We live right behind PGA Village and prefer to play here if that tells anyone anything about this place. Thanx again and see ya soon. Very soon!
Everything about this course is lit
The rough cuts on the course are immaculate. Tee boxes perfect. Greens a tad slow for me but that's how they are. BTW, greens also immaculate.
Free range balls, separate chipping and putting greens, all beautiful. Sue was very helpful in directing me around the facilities for my first time here, and the friendly helpful cartboy cleaned my irons up very swell.
I drove 90 minutes one way to play here with my coworkers. Worth it.
Beautiful course but not cart friendly with Covid 19 situation
lost lake is beautiful as always. Great shape and staff is outstanding. The only complaint I have is a big one with today's current world events. If there is a foursome and nobody knows each other you are playing 2 carts which means you are sitting with someone you have no clue about which in today's times is absolutely terrible. For no reason should anyone be subject to riding with someone else. Me personally I wouldn't care if it was any other time but these days unfortunately under no circumstances should some body be forced to play with someone. Times are rough as it is none the less go to play golf and you have to worry about the person in your cart. Talk about zero social distancing this is a prime example. Absolutely love this place but will only go back with a friend or family so I know I'm good. Nobody should have to play with a mask while golfing.
Always a great course,
Lost Lake is always in great shape. Staff is great. I never have complaints about this course but I will say this. If you are trying to do things the safe way with today's world pandemic this is probably NOT the course for you. If you are a foursome you will be in a cart with someone else. This absolutely should not be but it is. Either play real late in the day so you're with nobody or don't play at all. Beautiful course but I can't say the carts are being done the right way.
DO NOT PLAY HERE - NO RESPECT FOR PANDEMIC
Was forced to share a cart with a complete stranger and the starter advised that it was course policy. This is absolutely INSANE AND IRRESPONSIBLE. I will not play and am advising all golfers not to play until this policy changes. Wow we are in the middle of a pandemic and it is only getting worse because of behavior this course is advocating and forcing upon its patrons. Still shaking my head in disbelief!!
No 6 feet of separation.
This is the first course i have played since they open after the virus that didn't allow us to have separate carts. It was not because they didn't have plenty of carts sitting around because the place was not busy. The reason they gave us was it is a management decision.
