Cider Ridge Golf Club

One of my favorite courses. However, one BIG, but easy fix, would be better yardage markers on the course. Every hole needs a 150 stake (minimum) and a 100Yd plate would be nice as well. Phone reception is terrible so using on-line GPS is next to worthless.

With that said, everything else is 5 stars.

Beautiful mountain views abound on this impeccably presented layout. Bring your a game or just enjoy the course anyway. New greens are just going to get better this spring.

Only thing I can complain about is I had a 8am tee time which I believe was the 1st available but I had a foursome, all in individual carts ahead of me that never even thought it might be a good idea to let this single play through that is waiting on us at every tee box. I feel a Marshall would have remedied that. They weren’t slow but there was 4 of them with no one ahead. Other than that I had an awesome round and will try and get back to Anniston to play here again. The guy in the pro shop was awesome and so were the guys working the course.

Love the layout. Beautiful holes with tons of elevation change. 1st cut of rough is brutal. Must keep it in fairway to save par.

A group of us played Cider Ridge on Tuesday, September 13. The course has a lot of elevation change and requires careful club selection. The greens have recently been renovated with new grass and have not completely grown in. We enjoyed the course and recommend the course if you are in the Oxford area.

Can’t wait until the greens mature from the renovations

i don’t think the temporary greens “kill” this course but it does change play a lot, but still a good enjoyable time, i think they’re suppose to go back to regular greens later in the year no too long from now.

staff friendliness was top tier, the lady in the pro shop answered every question i had with no annoyance and helped me as much as she could.

the restroom facilities at the range though could absolutely use a cleaning.

besides that, great course

Really great layout and course is in good shape. The temporary greens kill this course though. The regular greens seem to be in great condition so not sure why during playing season having them.

Only real issue was they were on temporary greens.

I told the attendant we were not made aware of the temporary status and he responded it was stated on the website.

One of my playing partners and myself checked the website and it was not mentioned. After the round we checked Facebook and was mentioned on May 8th but not since.

All 18 greens were on temps and we had no idea until we got our there. We drove over an hour to play this course, that sucks!!!!!!

I should have checked more closely when I made the reservation- this is a fun and challenging course that is an hour and a half from home. Got to the course and found they were on temporary greens on all 18 holes. We were told it would be August before the new Tif-Eagle greens would be ready. Virtually had the course to ourselves in a Sunday morning - the experience, while disappointing was worth our time and the investment. See you again in the fall Cider Ridge- one of our favorite “mountain style” courses NOT in the mountains!
