Deer Valley Golf Course

Well maintained, great value and it's of great value and well maintained

Big greens, very good condition(although they just started airiating(?) the fairways) and beautiful scenery. Fairly wide open. I can't wait to get back. Probably one of the best values out there.

From the extra wide paved paths, to the well maintained fairways, to the HUGE manicured greens, this course is definitely on my "golf again and tell my friends" list!! If you're in the Hershey or Harrisburg area, check this course out!

I believe the course needs a few more years for the trees to mature and the grass to grow in, difficult to tell fairway from any other places on the course.

The course was wide open, but still had enough areas to get into trouble. I would play the course again, couldn't beat the price special. Only thing they need to work on is the tee boxes (hard to find a level area) other than that the course was fun.

A fun course to play that will not make you stop playing golf. A couple of drivable par four's that make it interesting. This is my third time playing it and it is an easier course but you still have to hit them straight or you will in trouble. Good course to play if you can hit the right price on golfnow.com

overall experience was good.... Staff was very cordial and accomodating, course very well manicured however some players on course played slow and lacked golf ettiquette. All in all great value and fun course with lots of opportunities to score

This course has really grown and become more challenging over the past few years. Great potential at this place if they don't become complacent.

The course was quite short but had a nice layout with blind shots. The greens were small and the pin placements made shot making critical.

I love to play on this course. There is enough challenge for every golfer but forgiving enough when you have a bad shot.

Deer Valley is always well maintained and is a good value for your Money. Even when they are heavily booked the pace of play moves at a reasonable rate. I have played here many times and have never been disapointed.

The course was in great shape. No sand traps but. grass bonkers. The course played very fast with Ranger assistance.

Beautiful views, really nice course- love the par 5's; Some interesting and challenging holes!

***I would give it 3.75 stars if I could*** This course is relatively new, so most of the doglegs can be cut right over the top of the trees....and there are a bunch of trees. After the trees mature in a decade this course is going to be pretty challenging. Nice layout, perfect for the average golfer. Greens are pretty big and fast. Only 3 knocks...no bunkers yet, no blue or black tees, and some greens lack a fringe. Def worth playing a round to see for yourself, and the price will NOT leave you wondering. Also, everything in the pro shop is very reasonably priced...balls, hats, polos etc...

We were paired up with another 2-some, which helped as they knew the course and could give us pointers as to hole locations and trouble areas. For being first-timers at this course, dissappointed that we didn't get guidance from proshop/starter. Course was in great shape, nice layout! We didn't have to wait on the group in front, nor were we being pushed, very enjoyable round!

I recommend this course with reservations.

If you want to score well, this is the course for you. I played horrible yet my score was better than how I actually played IMO. The greens are slow and the early greens are bumpy.

There is no water for golfers on the course other than two locations where the golfer has to pay 50 cents per bottle on the honor system. If I knew this ahead of time I would have carried money with me to make the honor purchase. I wouldn't take otherwise.

It's not an especially aesthetic looking course, which is something that keeps my interest up if I'm not playing well.

The course is in great shape. Pace of play was fine with the exception of the ranger telling us to pick up the pace because we were holding up 3 groups. We were a foursome but the groups behind were a twosome and two threesomes. We played in just under 4 hours so that was the only bad part. As the trees mature, the course will increase in difficulty, however there are several challenging holes.

The greens are on the slow side, and pin placement for the day seemed to be really close to the front or back of the green. This course will be much more difficult in 10 years when all of the trees have some time to grow, so get out and play it now.

Love to get out and play early on the weekends and not waste the whole day. Played in 3.5 hours.

Great price for a Sunday afternoon tee time with cart. Very friendly staff, although we felt hurried a few times by the marshal because "the group behind has complained". Everything else was great. Highly recommend.
