Deer Valley Golf Course in Hummelstown boasts one of the most affordable rounds you'll find in the Hershey/Harrisburg area. Since opening in 2005, more than 850 trees have been added and it has matured into a course favored by both visitors and locals. The layout features large, elevated greens and massive multi-tiered tees. From the golf course's peaks, the views stretch all the way to Hershey and the Blue Mountains. The winding layout twists and turns, doglegging left and right. It's a challenging layout round despite the absence of sand bunkers. There is however, thick rough and a number of grass bunkers to watch out for. Water only makes a brief appearance. Deer Valley Golf Course isn't overly challenging but for a fun and fair test, it's an affordable option that also offers some beautiful scenery.

Couldn’t wait to write a good review about this place. Trusted everyone’ else’s reviews when looking for a place to play last weekend. They were right. Place bangs. Staff was so friendly, course was kept great, course was fun. What more could I ask for. I live 3 hours away and don’t see myself in the area in the near future but if I am I will definitely play it again. Would recommend for sure
Course Ranger & Drinks
On a busy, sunny Saturday afternoon it is completely ridiculous to have the course Ranger constantly telling people to keep up pace of play.
If you go golfing on a beautiful day, so is everyone else. Pace of play os going to be slower than normal. Not everyone golfs like they are going to the PGA tour.
The price of a 6 pack is also $20. Seriously?!
Never on the weekend!
I love this course and drive over an hour to play there but I will never come to this course on a weekend again! It took us 5 hours to play 18 holes and it would have taken longer if 2 groups in front of us hadn’t given up and left. At the fifth hole we hit our drives and then had to wait 20 minutes before we could hit our next shot. It went like that all day!

Very playable course with a unique layout. I just wish it was closer to my home. I drive an hour and 20 minutes just to play this course.

All around great course!
Beautiful course, as described massive greens, undulating fairways. Cart paths are 90% paved and course is clean and neat. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The course is wide open and not easy to lose balls. Even though I wasn't having a great day for ball striking I still managed to score in low 80's.

Saturday was such a rainy and chilly day - pretty miserable - so hope you will return to experience Deer Valley on a sunny day soon.
Hope you don't mind an audience
Noon tee time, arrived an hour early to hit the range. They don't have a range. Slow play, didn't tee off until 12:15. Course in good shape.
Last 2 holes the oncoming league players were sitting at the tee boxes waiting for 5 o'clock. Not sure why they had to be there 45 minutes early. I struggle enough without more strangers watching me.
Probably won't go back.
We had an unexpected frost delay on Tuesday morning and that kept us about 15-20 mins behind until early afternoon. Sorry about that. Have a great season. DVGC
Waited on slower players ahead almost every single shot
Gorgeous day - course was in good shape for there - the greens are typically very slow but decent for time of year. Few golfers fix ball marks there. Frustrating to be unable to get into playing rhythm with waiting in groups ahead on almost every shot. Slow play needs managed better at this course and too many in the area as welll.
The first warm day in April always brings out lots of golfers, and we do our best to keep everyone happy. DVGC
Great course at a great price. Greens will be looking good once the spring showers begin. Deer Valley is a public hidden gem and play it multiple times a year!
