Quail Ridge Golf Club
About
Quail Ridge Golf Club sprawls across 300 acres of rolling hills just east of Grand Rapids. The expansive course provides plenty of room on each hole. Raymond Hearn, a Michigan native, designed the unique layout, seamlessly combining links-style holes and tree-lined holes for variety. The golf course is challenging with strategically placed bunkers and elevation changes coming into play but they are balanced by more player-friendly elements including generous fairways and ample landing areas. Water doesn't have a particularly prominent role but the high fescue that borders the fairways offer plenty of challenges. Quail Ridge Golf Club's greens are large and undulating, with one of the best examples being on the 17th. The green on this par 3 has two tiers that differ dramatically in elevation and neither tier is very visible from the tee, making pin placement extremely important.

Great course! Great challenge!
We've also had leagues at quail ridge for the last 5 years, and we have never seen the course anything other than perfect! Greens are some of the best rolling greens in michigan.
Great course for a great rate!
Course was in great conditions except for the greens which were pretty hard.
Very nice course for the price.
Nice course for the money. first time playing Quail Ridge was enjoyable. Greens fast and true. Generous fairways.
I love this course
Second time playing this course, and it is as great as I remember. My marks up top, because of the limited choices, don't quite capture how much I like this course: Closer to "pristine" than "maintained" and to a 5-star rating than a 4-star; I like hard courses with great designs and this one clearly qualifies.
beautiful course and a good challenge
fantastic value for the money. Course is championship level. worth much more than price I paid. Golf Now is a fantastic innovation.
Wonderful experience
Beautiful course with a fantastic layout...Tees make it playable/challenging for players of all ability levels
Great Course, fast greens
This is a great course with fast, true greens! A must play in the Grand Rapids area!
Enjoyed most of the course; some great holes.
It was a fantastic bargain. Considering Quail Ridge for MACS outing, believe it would pose a challenge while providing great golf for everyone.
great layout
This was a great course to play. Will definitely go back
Nice course
This course will challenge your decision making and club selection. If you play within your ability then you will do fine. But if you think you are better than you are; this course will humble you. Donated a few balls but I'm not the only one. Has plenty of tall grass, bunkers and water/swamp to keep you on your toes. Really enjoyed the course and planning on playing there again.
Fast Greens
The fastest greens around. Many traps and a few water holes. Very enjoyable time. Well maintained course7
Nice challenge from all tee boxes
The greens are challenging and were among the fastest I've played this year. Bunkering is well designed, but definately a punishing hazard if you get under the face. Overall conditions were very good and we were treated very well. The food was not only excellent, but the portions were almost too large.
We were very pleased and look forward to going back.
Wonderful layout, requires shot-making, fast greens.
The course is really well designed, with bunkers placed in all the right spots but never punitively. The shorter, straight hitter has a good chance against the long ball guy. Greens are huge, fast, and pure.
Our only complaint was that we were booked for 18 and expected to have priority at the turn, but had to wait more than 30 minutes while a league finished. This is poor management--you don't promise someone an uninterrupted 18 and then tell them they will "just have to wait". It is simple arithmetic to plan tee times. They should know better.
quailridge
best course in grand rapids even before great discount
Fun golf trac
I play Quail Ridge several time a year and I really like the layout. The course is in great condition and the greens are fast and true.
Favorite course
I play this course every chance I get....always in great shape and holes 3-18 are carved out of the woods....beautiful.
Good shape, fun course to play
One of the better courses in Grand Rapids. Has some challenge but is very playable, and fun to play.
Well maintained and a great value at the right price!
The fairways were well maintained and turf maintenance crew out on the course at 6:45 am was willing to silence their equipment during our shots. Fairways are wide and foregiving, but the fun begins at or near the greens. The pace of the greens for that time of day was uncharacteristically fast. Tee to green wasn't extremely difficult, but several 3 putts awaited on the greens. Great course, especially on the "Hot Deal"!
fun course to play
a fun course to play. greens were on the fast side which our group really enjoys. no houses or condos around makes for a relaxing atmosphere. big greens, so bring your A putting game.
