Secret revealed
I was hesitant in providing this review because the secret will be out. 😉 This course is a nice hidden gem. Variety of elevation changes, direction changes, and enough areas of water and natural heather and woods give this a very much “up north” feel. You just might use every club in the bag. Staff super friendly. I cannot speak to pace of play because we went early in the season on a noticeably uncrowded day. Definitely a great value!! Will be returning for sure.
1st time!
This was my 1st time playing this course and I must admit it does present its challenges. Fall golf is always interesting given the leaves that are everywhere. I had a great time playing with 3 young gentleman that I was paired up with. They had played the course before and was able to give me some helpful advice. The course Starter provided me with a book which detailed each hole so that was also useful. I did get a birdie on whole number 9 which I was told was a very difficult hole to get a birdie on so I will remember that. As the days dwindle down this may have been my last time to play so if it was it was a good course to finish with. I will definitely be back next season.
Relax
Played by myself. Since it is 3-9 hole course, range let me played the two with less crowd. Enjoyed the time here.
Save your money
Played the jungle and the marsh, not sure why the course had aerated the greens and still charged full price and let people play. Conditions were unputtable and made keeping score hard. Also not sure if this course is dying for money but 5 dollars for a 12oz beer is a little outrageous. Wouldn’t recommend
New favorite
When I first got there I was pretty underwhelmed. The parking lot and clubhouse were very small. But, upon playing the course, I was extremely surprised with how great it was. I can see people paying over $100 for a course like this. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, was because the rough was so long, it made it extremely difficult to find my ball.
Solid course
I really enjoyed playing this course. Nice pace of play, good conditions, friendly staff.
Only two things that were odd: 1) The clubhouse wasn’t anything special and didn’t have a great selection of drinks/snacks. 2) Carts were good, but it felt like we drove miles and miles around the course to get to the next hole… not bad, just weird to me.
Overall good experience. A little on the expensive side ($65 for a round)
Once was enough
This course is beautiful as far as nature goes, but very unforgiving to the average person. I shot about 18 over my average and the pace was miserable. No beer cart and no restroom on the course, so around every corner someone is using the trees for a porta potty. This is the first round I’ve ever played where the end couldn’t come fast enough.
