There is a lot of risk/reward on this course!
Hickory Creek has a good amount of challenge because there is a lot of risk/reward on this course. If you can make a solid second shot versus the layup you have great chances for birdies. I like the fairways and the layout of the course, all the holes are different. Most of the greens are a good size and not too difficult to read. Some are sloped but not too severely. Overall a fun afternoon.
A lot better than I expected.
Price was super considering the quality of the course. Greens on the small side but alot of fun to putt. Not always as easy to read as they appear. Not as far away as I thought. (about 35 min. from downriver.)

Bring your A-Game!
Using this site I received around 55% off and it definitely made up for the amount of golf balls I lost on the course. Haha.
The clubhouse was inviting from the outside, but quite small on the inside. If they had the room, I would suggest maybe putting a locker room for men/women to make it a LOT better.
The staff was cordial and directed me with any questions that I had. They were also accommodating with my buddy joining me the last minute.
The course was enjoyable! Very scenic and had taller, older trees for a nice layout. EXTREMELY NARROW for the area and that's why I titled this 'bring your a-game'. I obviously didn't play my best and lost about 6 golf balls over 18 holes. The greens are definitely challenging and the best advice I could probably give you is simple "middle fairway, middle green"...

Great Layout, Great Value
Execllent value for money - very interesting holes in a course that is as mature as many older country clubs.
Overall pretty good
Thought the course was pretty good overall. The pathways were great for carts. Biggest problem I had was I was backed up for over 12 holes because no one would let me play through. The ranger was out there but wouldn't/couldn't do anything.
Nice Greens
Greens were well maintained for early in the year.
