Golfer Reviews
I've seen this Place A LOT BETTER
So this course has a great layout and fair bunkers are in good shape but this course gets a lot of rain and they haven't cut the rough in probably over a week fairways are still decent Greens have really went downhill they are just flat out beat up too many unfixed ball marks which really takes away from the experience they're not necessarily slow but bumpy They just are getting too many golfers It took me 3 HOURS and 34 minutes to play 9 holes at number 2 there were 5 groups on the hole 3 whole groups waiting on the tee a group in the fairway and a group on the green the starter essentially is worthless I opted to not even try my second 9 because the wait they just let these outings destroy pace of play not to mention the course. This was my first time here this year but have been playing this course for over 10 years this is as bad as I've seen it the FOOD is Great but the golf is just not up to par
Going Downhill
I have played this course many times of the past few years, and the condition of the course gets wore every time. The course is still in good shape and one of the best in the area, but they seem to care more about adding hotels and banquet centers, rather than taking care of the course. Still a great course due to layout, but not a top tier course like in the past.
Lots of Potential
This course was a nice surprise! I thought it played very well with some appropriately placed hazards on certain holes. Hopefully it will be around for years to come.
Maintenance of greens
I play Kennsington on a pretty regular basis. I think it’s certainly one of the very best course layouts in northeast Ohio. The problem I have is the poor shape of the greens . In the spring they were great .Now they a covered with ball marks as if nobody ever thought of repairing there own ball marks., much less someone else’s . Even if they just had containers of sand -seed mix on each tee area so the golfers could repair the tee areas.
I like the course. It is true challenge for me.However, all the rain that has fallen in the past months has been hard on the course, especially the greens, which are slower than I recall in the past. Many of the greens had unrepaired ball marks, which was particularly frustrating. But overall, a very good course.
Slow play
They let stay and play do a turn and hold everyone else up 6 hours for 18 holes
Rain rain go away
Played after a day or 2 of rain. Cart path only. Not good with someone with artificial knees AND by himself ( lol). Guys were very friendly and let me go by myself,a combination of cancellations because of cart only and open period.
Course was really wet but in good shape. Lost a few balls because of mud and not wanting to search much. The thing that really aggravates me is there were guys a 1/3 of my age taking the cart out on the course and not caring too much about the tire marks on course.
Nice course for the price
Course in overall good condition considering the weather as of late.
Greens are ok, and only because of amount of players not repairing their ball marks. Staff is so friendly. Great value golf!
Not Recommended
Played this course for the second time. Had similar experience first time but let it go. This time I’m not happy. Pace of play is awful. They were 45 minutes behind on tee times and pace of play was over 6 hours for 18. I was forced to leave with 6 hours to go after being on the course for 5 hours at that point. Asked for a rain check or a partial refund, they refused to do anything besides make excuses as to why they can’t keep pace of play at a respectable level. I won’t hold here again and I caution anybody to play here unless you have at least 7/8 hours in which to do so. The first time I played here tee times were on time however play for the course was around 5 1/2 hours.
Great value for course but very slow play
Beautiful layout and great conditions. Very slow play, 25 Minuteis behind pace on front nine due to two slow foursomes in front of us, skipped in front of them on back nine to finish 18 holes in 4 1/2 hours. Need rangers to enforce pace of play.
Worth it
I was pleasantly surprised with the facility, staff, and course. The greens were not in great shape but overall the course and facility were very much worth the trip.
My weekday round for $39 was very reasonable and the grille was very nice and busy.
