About
Situated just a few minutes from Muskegon, Stonegate Golf Club in Stone Lake sprawls across gently rolling hills that are surrounded by the beauty of the Manistee National Forest. The undulating terrain provides dramatic elevation changes that can give you a different round every time you play. Although there are residences bordering the golf course, it still feels completely secluded thanks to the sheltering trees and pristine natural setting that is accented with marshes and ponds. The golf course has a variety of greens, most are slightly raised and some are open in front while others have slopes and bunkers protecting them. The putting surfaces roll true with only a few mild undulations. Stonegate's fairways can be tricky since they’re lined with mature pines and hardwoods and more often than not you’ll find one or more bunkers guarding the most opportune landing areas.

Great Course!
I love this course! Very nice course and in very good shape!
Great Course and Staff
Stonegate is a beutiful course...well maintained, friendly staff, one of the best pros in golf (Ty Love), and excellent food and drink at the clubhouse.
I would just like to see more special events like Sr scrambles and Ryder Cup format outings.

Great course fun to play not to long but has some challenging holes great layout
Excellent Value for Course
Stonegate Golf Club is in beautiful condition. For the price you pay this course is really worth the money. There is a serious lack of mid-level courses that actually hold value. The Golf Pro on site, Ty is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home. I would recommend this course for anybody looking for a well paced round at a well kept challenging golf course in West Michigan.
costs too much, need lower greens fees.
nice course friendly staff but they need to lower their greens fees for me to play it again. they need to get to $20 for 18 with a cart, because there are too many courses that are just as good but cost less to play.
Top Notch
I've golfed here since it opened. The fairways are wide and the greens fast. It's a one hour drive but worth it. We come here 3-4 times a year with a senior group of 12 to 16 golfers. I have never been disappointed. Can't wait to return.
Beautiful Course
Beautiful Course, rolling and breathtaking and in excellent condition. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Great value for the money
Play here once or twice a year. Staff is always friendly and course was in good shape. Challenging but not overly difficult. Need to hit it straight to stay out of trouble.

Only flaw was that the fairways we're a little rough. They could be watered better.
Up North Golf
Give you the feeling that your on a fine Northern Michigan golf course without the long drive. Can be alitte long from the tee box just back from the red so play the red if you want it's still a challenge.
Hidden Gem
A friend highly recommended Stonegate. What a beautiful setting! It's only 3 miles off US 31, but seems like middle of know where. Easy to get to and very welcoming as soon as you pull in. Nice practice range with great short game area. Pro shop and grille room are clean and welcoming with a great deck that elevates over the beautiful 9th hole and green. Great food! Friendly Staff to boot!the layout is awesome as the undulating fairways cut through the the tall trees of the Manistee forest. I like how the course still gives you enough room to hit it astray though. Greens have nice speed and just enough undulation to provide a challenge. Tee times are every 10 minutes which helps with pace of play. It was pretty busy, but there was a starter and my group moved around in 4 hrs 5 min. Nice to have a corse with that up North feel within an hour of my house. Wish i lived close enough to be a member.

Great Course!
Stonegate is one of the finer course for the $$$ in West Michigan...great layout in a totally quiet, pristine environment...friendly staff...great golf pro in Ty Love...the course is in great shape and ready to be enjoyed.

A nice October Round
A bit cool to start the round, but a great day on the course. The pace was fast, the course in great condition. Friendly staff, will return again!

bad fairways
Fairways haven't been cut in a while. Hardly a difference between fairway & rough. Slow greens. Way over priced for the condition. Homeowners on # 7 were rude & loud as tee box is right behind home.
