Jasper Hills Golf Club
About
A TRUE REBIRTH, A BRAND NEW BEGINNING. Originally opened in 2000 as “Sebastian Hills”, the 18 hole course was unique with its creative layout and concrete cart paths and brought in many, many golfers over the nearly two decades that it was open. The course closed permanently after the 2017 season. After numerous attempts to sell, the course overgrew and seemed completely hopeless to return as the years ticked by. But then in 2021, a new hope was sparked. Local residents decided to take a chance on this 18 hole dream. Their love for the beauty of the land the course sits on inspired them to bring it back to life. It truly was a mountain of an undertaking, but they were up for the challenge. The course has new owners, new vision, new business plan, new everything but the beautiful piece of property the course sits on. The course remains the same layout but nearly every other aspect has been been given new attention and love.

Course conditions are great in the fairway and overalll is very nice. The owner was there and was very pleasant and welcoming. 45 minute drive or would play here more often, but will still make the drive. Price is very fair and attractive if you live close by PLAY IT and head some food after. Overall I enjoyed the experience and will be back.👍
Will play again, keeps getting better
They are putting a lot of effort into this coarse. Great to see it being revived after previously being closed. Even the bunkers were in pretty good shape. Only 2 holes that are pretty blind…#18 and an earlier uphill dog leg right. This will be one of the better public coarses in coming years if they keep up the pace of improvement. A new dining area is under construction.
Slow Play
Had a tee time at 12:10, they didn’t have carts available for us until 12:35. Ridiculously slow play took almost 5 and a half hours to finish. Staff at front desk didn’t seem too friendly either…
Overall good condition
Unfortunately I was only able to play the back 9 twice since they are redoing the front 9 but great experience on the course. They upgraded the golf carts and pace of play was good! Definitely going to play here again!
Easter aeration!!
Showed up and was told that i had to play the back nine holes twice because of something they were doing on the front nine. As I teed off 10, I could see other people playing the front nine so i was confused. It turns out they started aerating the greens in the middle of the day on a Sunday . Not a very good thing to do. The people who caught up go us who did get to play the front nine were not very happy about it either.
Course conditions
The course is in good condition for this early in the year. There was quite a bit of congestion when we made the turn to the next 9. I think they need to work on the timing of their tee times to help alleviate this from becoming a continual problem. Overall it’s a nice course that we will definitely play again.
Interesting Course, New Management
I played here for many years as Sebastian Hills. Its an interesting layout with different types of holes. Most holes hilly cut through forests. And a stretch of holes on the back going through farmland. Tons of recent work in clearing out the forest floors just off the fairways, is making it easier to find balls now. Sand traps great now. Fairways and greens can be fast. #18 is a fantastic hole..par 5 double dogleg, hilly and kind of narrow fairways. The restaurant is awesome - high end options like grouper plus fish tacos, regular grill items, wings, gourmet pizza, many beer selections. Worth coming to the restaurant alone.
Great Course, Great Value, Inconsiderate Players
It used to be Sebastian Hills. The course is great as is the value. The only downside is that the people who were playing the day I did definitely need to learn golf etiquette. I played as a single and was clear for four holes then was held up on the remaining front nine by a twosome who's okay was less than great. Make the turn and had two holes prior to being held up by another twosome who was playing two balls each. Neither twosome allowed me to play through. If people would like to play a round of golf at least learn simple golf course etiquette and allow the single to play through. Especially when you're playing two balls and you're truly not good enough to play one ball.
Second time playing since the re-open.
Played in June 2022 not long after the re-open and now December 2022. Even being winter you could see the continued improvements. Looks like the course is getting some love and money put into it. Worth the hour drive.
Fantastic golf
The staff, the course, the carts, everything is pretty nice! The greens are kept in good shape. Tee boxes are decent enough and the fairways are some of the best in town.
The pace of play was super slow. The guy infront of us tried to fight me due to a wild 330 yard drive, I usually hit 260-270. No one was hit, no one was hurt. But he was a very bad sport about it. I apologized like four times, he still drove off angry.
