About
Stonybrook Golf Club boasts seven sets of tees, making it a truly versatile course that any skill level can play. It has been certified by the National Golf Course Owners Association as being beginner friendly. The layout features wide fairways with generous landing areas leading to large, undulating greens that are bordered by intimidating bunkers and contoured mounding. The golf course is one of the longest in southwest Florida at 7,453 yards from the back tees, making it a long hitter's paradise. The difficult-to-read greens will challenge even the best players. The course wanders through a scenic landscape of pristine wildlife preserves. The sparkling lakes that are scattered throughout come into play, as do the abundant pines, oaks, and cypress trees.

Nice layout
Nice layout....tough par 3's...well kept course despite drought conditions. Would definitely play again despite high green fees.
Hot day ...no drinking cups for water
Everything was awesome except there were no cups and straws for ice or water on a very HOT day. There is no mention of this prior to arriving at the course
Decent course but.....
Overall the course was in decent shape. Lots of water comes into play but enjoyable HOWEVER as we hit the 9th hole a group of kids ran into the fairway, grabbed our balls and thru them in the water. Then ran off. We hit again and the did the same thing.
Rangers be aware. Left a bad taste in our mouths
Wide Open
Good greens, decent pace of play once you get out there. Manageable course for high handicaps.
Crazy carts.
The GPS system is screwed up. The people in front, ourselves, the group behind and everyone we saw and talked to complained about the carts. 4 wheels on the pavement of the cart path and the system is telling you again and again to reverse to get out of the restricted area. You actually have to reverse on the path before it sometimes worked again…every hole. Spoke with the staff before leaving and “yea we’ve been hearing that a lot must be a coincidence???”.
Like all golf courses they supply drinking water at the beginning (only water in this case) but you need to bring your own cups?? They say it’s environmental but they’re very happy to sell you plastic bottled water if you don’t happen to travel with your own cup!
Loved it
Good layout. Greens were great. Played in 4 hours. Reasonably priced.
Easily fixable but probably will always be a C+.
Course was decent, greens rolled nice, traps good, fairway good. Pace of play was terrible. We went off 15 minutes late in the afternoon because of an issue with a member event 4 hours before. Stupid. Ended up really backed up. The pro shop solution is to send a message to the gps screen in the carts. Not enough. People need to be directly confronted.with their slowness. 5 hours is too long. They are stacking
Too many people on the course. The carts also have proximity sensors that were screwed up. We’re on a cart path and it’s saying we’re in restricted area. People ended up putting the carts in reverse to get off a hole. Happened over and over. Ridiculous. These are easy things to fix but they definitely won’t do it. I’ll never play there again
Another Great Experience
Just played the course for the 2nd time, just a wonderful course with very friendly staff. Can't wait to come back and play again!
