Stoneybrook Golf Club
About
Stonybrook Golf Club boasts seven sets of tees, making it a truly versatile course that any skill level can play. It has been certified by the National Golf Course Owners Association as being beginner friendly. The layout features wide fairways with generous landing areas leading to large, undulating greens that are bordered by intimidating bunkers and contoured mounding. The golf course is one of the longest in southwest Florida at 7,453 yards from the back tees, making it a long hitter's paradise. The difficult-to-read greens will challenge even the best players. The course wanders through a scenic landscape of pristine wildlife preserves. The sparkling lakes that are scattered throughout come into play, as do the abundant pines, oaks, and cypress trees.

Nice variety of holes
Nice course. Plays to all skill levels.Always very busy.. But this time year all courses are. Fair off the tee. Will penalize poor tee shots. Requires good shots to be close to pin. Good par threes. GPS was accurate.
Not worth the $
I like the layout always have. They were almost 20 minutes behind on our tee time, saw ranger once he did nothing to move the group ahead of us along ( they were almost 2 holes behind)
Those are things that's just my experience that day. But the course condition for the money they are charging doesn't match.i would expect at least great greens but they are not.
First Time Play
My first time here. Greens are fast and true. Layout is plenty challenging, but there are enough tee choices to find your comfort zone. Carts with Bluetooth speakers are cool. Driving range pond could use some floating targets. Duffy’s sports bar after round is fun with good bar food and fairly priced drinks.
Challenging if playing the Blue tees
The weather was near perfect for the first 14 holes and then dark clouds and a light rain made it nearly impossible to track ball flights for the final 4 holes. I played the blue tees (6,700 yards) and the course does play long. Most challenging was two of the par 3's that played 225 and 230 yards, one over water and one to carry a large sand bunker. Unfortunately, we were stuck behind a foursome that did not play ready golf and backed up the course a little bit. They stopped at the turn, but we jumped ahead of them which really opened up our pace. Greens were fair and you had to read the subtle breaks properly. Good track and I would play again. Finally, the cost to play in January continues to jump, and this year was no exception - expect to pay $25-$30 more than last year to play any course in the area.
Skip it
I normally love playing here but:
Course is in tough shape for the price. Tee boxes are dirt/sand/weeds.
No cups at the drink shack
No real food or snacks
No drink cart
Bathrooms are in poor shape
4:30 hour round
I will say that carts are great. Very cushy and integrated speakers.
dreadfully slow…
played the front nine in 2 hours and 30 minutes, teed off 10 minutes late, got to the 10th tee and 4 groups on the tee 2 of which were just sent there to start a nine hole round…. whoa we said, those 2 groups thankfully returned to pro shop. Too much greed and lack of concern for golfers period… rangers drove by but never apologized for horrific pace of play. Good course layout but not for the small fortune asked to play….
