About
Located just minutes from the beach, the conveniently situated Clearwater Country Club sprawls across a coastal landscape of Spanish moss-draped trees and towering, mature oaks. Stevenson Creek meanders through the golf course, coming into play on six holes. Built in 1920, the layout has a traditional design that is challenging but fair. The course is tight but it plays long, especially on the par 5s. The rolling fairways are well manicured and the greens play at medium speed and are consistently well maintained. Clearwater C.C. actually has a reputation amongst locals for its superb conditions. It is also popular with visitors, snowbirds specifically, since the club offers the area's only seasonal and short-season membership with exclusive privileges. It is also one of the few clubs in the area that allows walking.

Worst greens ever
This course used to be a solid 3.5/5 a year ago. Didn’t just go downhill, it went off a cliff. You can’t even put on over half the greens. The fact that they’re still charging $40+ is lunacy and probably the reason we could get a morning tee time booked the night before. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!
Public Beware!
Was never told the course was under major repair. Front nine was the worst course i had Ever played.
The greens were not even playable.
I have never seen a sand trap literally on the green. Shame on management for not letting a paying customer know of such conditions. Also, shame on Golf Now for allowing them to advertise their course without such notice. Back 9 was in good condition. Newer greens good shape. Just slow which is understandable. Starter very rude. Overall, will never go back or recomend.

I swore the last time, i was here that i would never come back.
well i made the mistake and booked again, there is not 1 saving grace for the DOG TRACK
and by the way i was charged $10 sercharge for wanting not to ride with another person
Tight
The course was tight and creative with the layout. A couple of greens had some rough patches, and there were some soft boggy areas. On the whole, the course played well, greens were a bit shaggy come 4 in the afternoon. Would play again.
Good/Bad
Most of the course is in good shape, however there are a few greens that need a lot of attention!
About as bad as The Claw
I didn’t think there could be a worse course in Tampa than The Claw but Clearwater CC comes close. This course makes me want there to be restrictions on being able to call yourself a Country Club. Charging $40 to play on those greens should be criminal.
Just Ok
Slow pace. No cart girl on hot day with slow pace,not good.
Marshal was no help. Front 9 greens in bad shape.
Almost worse than the claw
Greens had large plots of bare spots that were just brown dirt. Pathetic to charge people $40 for that

Great short course, perfect for short straight play.
Not a long course, stay straight. Good for short game.
Stay away
I don’t know what I was thinking. This place is just awful. Read the reviews. They cover everything.
Decent course. Enjoyed most of the round. Didn't know and wasn't informed that 3 or 4 of the holes would have greens cut out of the fairways.
