About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

This course was good value
Enjoyed layout...A bit over booked pace was tough on blind holes golfers hit down on us on two occasions

Challenging
They should call this course 'rolling greens golf course'!!! The greens are very rolling and crowned.... very challenging!! Bit us all in the but! The Marshalls did a good job to keep the pace of play going. There was a threesome, a single walker, and two twosomes ahead of our foursome. Unfortunately there was some waiting on each hole.

Unfriendly players
Most of the players behind us and in front were not very friendly, and afew we're actually rather pushy. Won't go back.
Geez.... the golf course has nothing to do with the players..... DUH.
Best ball with friends
Course was in good shape for Winter months. Pace was decent, staff friendly and bathrooms clean. Nice cold water out as well. Greens in great condition, but all being elevated makes them a challenge depending on pin placement.

didn't think much of the course pulling into the parking lot but once I got out on the course my opinion changed, nice layout and good conditions, will play again.

Cypress Lakes
Overall, CL is an interesting layout. Greens are in good shape for January. Fairways are acceptable but not outstanding.. The cart paths, bridges, and tee boxes could all use some upgrading. Practice green and driving range are average.

This course is a great value
This course is always in great condition. Probably in as a good a shape than any in the Pensacola area. Usually no cart person and not much at the grill other than a hot dog. Green fees will be less than you will find anywhere else.
