About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

didn't think much of the course pulling into the parking lot but once I got out on the course my opinion changed, nice layout and good conditions, will play again.

Cypress Lakes
Overall, CL is an interesting layout. Greens are in good shape for January. Fairways are acceptable but not outstanding.. The cart paths, bridges, and tee boxes could all use some upgrading. Practice green and driving range are average.

This course is a great value
This course is always in great condition. Probably in as a good a shape than any in the Pensacola area. Usually no cart person and not much at the grill other than a hot dog. Green fees will be less than you will find anywhere else.

Stuck behind a rude 5 some
Yes our 2 some got behind a slow fivesome that wouldn’t allow us to play through. These five guys were each hitting multiple mulligans on tees while we waited for them to tee off. For the life of me I don’t understand why some golf courses allow fivesomes. It’s always going to slow up play. Beware when you play here that there may be a slow round in your future.
Course is a little rough right now but greens were good.

Cypress Lakes is awesome!
I’ve played Cypress Lakes a few times now and the course is amazing and challenging! Pin placements yesterday made it pretty tough. Course is very well maintained and you can’t be the price, especially for such a nice course. Highly recommend!

Pin Positions
The only negative was the pin positions given the very, very fast greens. Given the mounded style greens, some pin positions were on down-slopes so that any putt or chip would run off the greens. It's fine to have challenging positions but there is no point in haviong nearly impossible pin positions.

Golf with a friend
We had a nice day of golf with a friend that was on vacation in Destin. He said this course was in better shape then other two he golfed over there. Greens were very fast and some holes almost unfair pin placements making it like miniature golf with the elevated greens. Some areas were rough but marked as ground under repair. Pace of play was good. We have really enjoyed this course this Fall. Staff always friendly.
