About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

An ok track, but I'd play something else for the same price
I played 3 courses while on a Pensacola track and this was by far the worst of the 3. This is a very municipal looking golf course. Decent chunk of barespots in the fairways, the greens were quite bumpy and felt like they were rolled often enough. Clubhouse wasn't quite open when we arrived. It's a fine beginner track, with some decent holes, but every green was the same thing, a bowl upside down so it lacked a little diversity on the greens.
Marcus Pointe was just such a better course and is down the street for roughly the same price.
Awesome Course!!
This is a great course that presents challenges for any Golfer. I am always impressed with the course and how it’s managed. The pace of play has never been a challenge, one of the best courses in the area.
Unpopular opinion…
But this course is not fun to play. There are no fairways where you aren’t hitting off some sort of slope. The fairways weave and bend so you’re never give a good lie. Fairways are fine but you’ll be hard to find one as the balls bounce all over the place. The greens are turtle back and are not flat at all. Ball will roll off unless you are very good with ball spin. I don’t think I’ll come back. Conditions were good but I don’t consider this a fun course to play.
Enjoyable track
Best shape in years, fairways and greens excellent. Entire front none backed up behind foresome. Marshall finally issued warning on number 9.
This course is awesome.
Great course that present challenges to any Golfer. One of the best places to play for the price. You will not be disappointed!

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and you can see that they are constantly working on the condition of the course.

Cypress lakes 6-16
Really nice course. Greens are smooth and faster than they look. Fairways are in great shape. A couple tee boxes look a little rough but nothing too bad. Carts are nice , pro shop has lots of gear and snacks. Only thing that would have made it better for me would be some options for lunch , sandwiches and chips or hot dogs or anything like that. I will be coming back , really enjoyed the course.
Slow but steady
They paired us with a couple from NC and their son. Great people so I can't complain. The group in front of us was extremely slow but the marshal didn't seem to care. Maybe it will be better next time.
