Golfer Reviews
Fun Day at Meadow.
As usual, enjoyed playing Meadow immensely again! Great friends, great staff, great weather add up to a great day of golf!
Nice day at the Meadows
Nicely improved course every year. Greens were improving from being punched, fairways ok, tee boxes ok. Great value for the money. Shot course that helps your scoring. Will play again.
Upsetting start to a golf morning with friends
I was invited to play a "Breakfast" 9-hole round of golf this past Sunday. The weather was perfect, friends were in abundance and we were getting into our carts when a woman (was later told it was the Pro Shop Cafe manager) went crazy. Apparently, she was bothered by the perfume the woman who works as a starter (very nice lady, by the way) was wearing and refused to allow her to enter the Clubhouse. I felt so sorry for this poor lady starter. She was treated in such an unprofessional way and I hope that the matter was brought to the attention of the manager of the course.
Needless to say, I chose not to stay for the breakfast, as I was wearing cologne and feared being accosted by this crazy person.
To the course management: Get control of your employees.....they will definitely affect who plays at your course and who works there.
Home Course
Meadow Oaks is 5 minutes from our house, we moved to Florida in March 2020. When I first played there a few months ago, I would say it needed a lot of love, since then, they have greatly improved the condition of the course. The greens are in great shape, most of the fairways are as well. I'm sure with the peak season approaching, all the fairways will be great. The staff is always friendly, and the cost is very good.
Fun course
I like this course layout - fairly easy if you are striking it decent, but there is some trouble out there if your are not. Although 18 is a little "querky" in my opinion: It is a drivable par 4 that does have some bailout room for inaccuracy , but no other option but to go for it due to lack of fairway by design. A definite birdie op even with a not so accurate tee shot. Par 5s are on the shorter side so the medium length hitters get a shot to get home in 2. Pace was slow on the front due to a foursome ahead hacking their way around, but an hour long rain delay pretty much cleared the course for me and I played the last 10 holes in about an hour as a single. Fairways were pretty good and the greens I would give at least a 7 or 8 out of 10. Not a full blown stretched out 7000 yarder with forced carries so this course is fun and playable for all.
Nice but..
Fairways nice, greens were rock hard-fast putting. Tee boxes in poor condition.
Over booked
Started round 30 minutes later than tee time! Once we were able to tee off the course of play was average.
Hello, thank you for reviewing the course. We would like to apologize for the delay of play during your round. Please know that this is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With an uncharacteristically full day, we work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and allow our guest the chance to complete their rounds. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve and use your comments as guidance. Thank you for playing Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.
Excellent shape
After the aeration, the greens have filled in and they are in excellent condition, the grounds crew have done a great job. #9 blue tee box has been leveled and sod put down so the blue tees are moved back. Fairways in good condition as always. This is an excellent course for average golfers to hone their game. There are opportunities for eagles on the par 5's with a good drive. The value is excellent for the quality of the course.
H S GOLF COMPETION
ENTIRE COURSE WAS STOPPED ... 40 MIN A HOLE WAITING ... GAVE UP AFTER 9

Different course
Very nice course to play , Starter needs to space twosomes out a little, especially following ladies group of 17 groups
