have played here many times. Course is in pretty good shape.
Good course to practice your course strategy!
Nice tight course with interesting par 4/5’s. Course is in decent nick and pace of play is good.
Getting better with new management, but.
Love the course set up. But it is the slowest pace of play course in the entire area. Particularly on the weekends. Especially with the Saturday morning scramble group.. Mind numbing.
I quit playing there for a while because the conditions were getting worse, and I simply could not stand the way a guy named Nate treated the golfers. But my friends said the new owners had improved it, which they certainly have. It is in better shape and looks to get better over time. A few downers though. A guy named Nate is still there. The biggest reason I left before, and a number of my friends won’t go back while he is still there. It is shocking that though the new management are all such nice people, and that the staff are all great, why they put up with this man is mind boggling. The players can’t stand him and his coworkers can’t either. The other thing is that while they are doing a great job, the grounds crew has absolutely no courtesy in regards to golfers while playing. They either simply don’t care, or don’t realize how disruptive their behavior is to people taking shots. Maybe they just don’t realize it. And maybe they should move counterclockwise around the course when working. But they are doing a good job of improving the course. Truly.. And that has been no easy task. So good for them regardless..
Other than those two issues, it’s becoming a much better place to play. I am confident they will eventually get the massive amount of pockmarks of the greens, particularly on the front nine. And they could maybe try to convince the regular golfers in some way to respect the course more. Especially in fixing ball marks on the greens. I can often fix 6 or 7 fresh marks on each green. And that is likely the reason they have so many pock marks. I can’t seem to do a good job fixing old ball marks that have cured.
So it would be 4 stars without Nate. 5 Stars if the grounds crew were more aware of their presence and distracting behavior, and they could fix the marks on the greens. But the greens are much better than they used to be. The whole course is much better. It really is exciting to see the improvements. And the new GM is friendly, personable and seems to be very bright. He will certainly make it a much better place. Hopefully he will get some of his great attitude instilled into his head grounds keeper as well. The future seems bright for this little course. Especially with new hires like Kristin, and regular staff members like Christina, who are always awesome and friendly. The starters and people who drive around the course maintaining trash and such are all great people. A wonderful crew. PS: Some sort of driving area, at least for short irons would be great.
Slow as balls.
I really liked the course and it was the first time my wife and I played. They stacked everyone on top of each other and also lost our reservation time. They had the nerve to come and ask us to speed up when we had a 80 year olds and a 10 year old playing in front of us. Truly a joke for how slow this course is.
have played there many times. nice course, sometimes it's busy when the snow birds are down.
Very good golf course
Nice layout with fair amount of challenge for the weekly golfer. Recommend they post on the carts and give a flyer out at check in about slow play, many are clueless on this.
Too slow to finish
The course was in pretty good condition but we had to wait at every hole. Our tee time was at 1:25 and we quit at the 18th hole and didn’t finish by 6:30
Wouldn't Play Again
This is golf in its most basic sense. Greens are bad in places. Fairway is hard with very little grass and what is there was shaggy and unkept. A very short and very narrow course. Pace of play was slow. Restrooms on the front nine were out of order and that would have been great to know beforehand. Encouragement to practice ready golf and keep the pace moving among the regulars would help.
SL00000000000000W
Course backs up on 2nd hole and never gets better.
Front 9 is ragged..Horrible tee boxes, hit or miss greens.
Sparse fairways.
Back 9 is a little greener.
Greens are better on the back.
Last 2 holes are beautiful, in good shape.
Played here a few times in last few months, hoping for a better outing because it's an interesting layout. However the pace and conditions don't show much improvement.
really enjoyed playing there with the exception of slow play. they need a ranger to be there on the course to make sure its running on time. on some of the par 3's there were 4 groups of players waiting.
Good Short Course
It was a course that it helped to have someone who had played it before. Placing the first ball for your second shot was crucial. Open fairways, but lots of trash/trouble on both sides.
Enjoyed the day!
