Meadow Oaks Golf & Country Club

Maintenance on this course is average. Would never pay full price for this course. Needs a lot of work to bring it back to life. There not the only ones that are having trouble. Most of the courses I’ve played in Florida are all in the same shape. Some are like a cow pasture. Never have I seen this before. Sad to see them all raise their prices to play.

Meadow oaks course in poor condition 3/4 of greens in barely fair condition. Fairways tee boxes and ruff area all in very poor condition

Lots of dirt and weeds, little grass. After initial improvement by new owners, course really being neglected.

Greens znd approaches were in great shape . Fairways good for this time of year for Florida. Checking and Starter very friendly and efficient. The Cart attendant best in the business. We always have a great time at Meadow Woods.

Bottom line, pace of play was atrocious. There were 3 sets of foursomes in front of me that were supposedly in league play. They were on pace for roughly 6 hours to complete the full 18.

They didn't let anyone play through and it wasn't like these guys were super competitive either, they probably shot 130+ on average.

By the time I reached the 6th or 7th hole, I heard that there was no one in front of them.

Staff was nice to me and others that were backed up behind the sloth train, but I really felt something should be done about their pace of play. Just because they play in a league, doesn't mean they get to own the course and bully other golfers.

Beyond that one negative aspect, the course is nice. Pretty well maintained, felt it had a decent amount of difficult areas but not so much that you're playing most of the day in the rough/bunkers.

Tee boxes on the front were mostly sand, no grass. Fairways on the front also not much grass. Greens a little bumpy & just average speed at best. Back nine thr tees & fairways were a little better, greens about the same.

Played in the cold. Very few golfers so I played alone and very quickly. The tees are being attended to. The traps are doing nicely. The greens are really rolling nicely “in most areas”. Short course but lots of challenges….I’ll play again soon.
