Dry
Water Oak needs water. The course, especially the fairways and ruff are drying out. The greens are good but also hard and dry
Winter golf
Greens have grass nice, fairways grass very dormant, thin, winter weather nothing growing , will be back.
Pretty good bang for the buck
Pro shop staff friendly and gave a few tips on the course. Course has a great layout, more like layout in northeast states with hills and all the oak tress. Greens were in good shape, however slow. Fairways, some of which are a bit tight, are starting to brown probably from the lack of rain. Keep the ball on the fairway, something I had a problem doing, and you should have a good round. Many shots in the rough ended up at times in a pond as most areas of rough were cut short and with the dry conditions the ball had a lot of roll
Overall, a fun course that I definitely plan on playing again.
If you’re seeking real elevation, changes in Florida. Here it is.
I was very surprised by this course. The price was good and it had great greens. The elevation changes are pretty extreme on several holes especially for Florida. The course is a little quirky with how close some of the holes tee boxes and greens are to each other. Trust me, though it is worth it. It’s anIt’s a really fun layout and a good value for the money. Very player friendly as well. I have already recommended this to several friends of mine. The greens are great. The tee boxes are OK and most of the fairways are good even though they’re a little dry but they do run. I played pretty bad and shot an 82 and I feel like I can eat this course alive on a good day. So I will definitely be back.
Very awesome experience with my family. Staff was amazing, course was awesome, fair to all golfers in our group, and score able. Greens had some crazy breaks and the approach shots down the hills were incredibly fun. Excited to go back and tell my other golf friends in the area about this course. Will be making many more tee times here in the future.
Horrendously slow
The starter who doesn't have a brain in his head. Sends out a slow foursome, then follows it up with a single and 3 twosomes. One would think it best to team the 7 players up into a threesome and a foursome, so the other players behind the foursome wouldn't have to wait on every single shot. Apparently, this never entered his thick cranium.
Then, after the first nine holes, the idiot lets another foursome start on #10 and the single and 3 twosomes. Had to follow another foursome. We walked off after playing #12.
Love the greens, some of the fairways are very rutted, but for the most part okay. Can be a tough layout, but long hitters, not to be confused with me, will eat this course alive. I play here a lot, but the price has gone up big time! I know this is because of the snowbirds but it's almost pricing me out. Again, some of the best greens around! And the staff is phenomenal and great $4 hot dogs at the turn. Nevertheless, recommend it...
