Long day short day
We have played here many times. Aleays had a great experience.
This time we (2) followed a threesome of inexperienced inconsiderate rude and clueless players. 5 holes took 1hour and 40 minutes. We contacted the pro shop and requested a ranger.
A rather rude person arrived and informed us that there was another threesome holding everything up.
NOT TRUE!!
We finally finished the front nine in 2hours 40 minutes. The ranger suggested thst we were the problem. 🤬🤬
We asked to play the front nine again as it appeared to be wide open. Permission granted. We finished in 1hour 10minutes.
Once again the ranger/??? Was rude about our playing time.
I can appreciate people learning the game but they should also golf and course etiquette.
Generally in good shape
Course is in very good shape with the exception of a few of the tee boxes. The bunkers could use a little care, but they are still acceptable.

Found this course on Golf Now, saw that it had several positive reviews and it was a gold deal, so I gave it a try. It did not disappoint!! Not too difficult and was in great shape. Highly recommended!!

This was a pleasant surprise. I looked into local courses outside the villages and got on due to a cancellation. Fun course , well maintained and friendly helpful staff. Course was in great shape.

The course is average.
The major issue was that the grass off the fairways was so thick, you could never find your ball. It really slows down the speed of play. T boxes were not in great shape.

Not so good this time
Although it was a few days after the hurricane there were many branches all over the place
But not in the fairways or greens.
I have played there before and the course was in much better shape.

After a hurricane
Well you got to remember it was after a hurricane nobody was open everybody from The villages was going there but we did play golf lost a few balls not a leaves trees down but they're whipping it into shape like everywhere else down here.

Avoid at all costs...Save your money!
Are you kidding me. Country club? What a joke.
Starter puts out a 5 some at 745 in the am. Doesnt explain how the 150 markers red whit blue relate to front back middle of the greens. We figured it out.
Tee boxes long grass 1" high
Fairways would be rough length at any other course. 1" deep in most places. If you miss the green expect to take 10 mins plus to try n find the ball.
Greens if they are 7 on the stimp meter... its being generous. Super slow you can chip on the green better than trying to putt.
bunkers overgrown
These conditions are not due to Milton. I asked a member, she said standard conditions for the course.
Worst conditions i have ever played in my life ...anywhere. Lesson learned Country club doesnt guarantee quality. Never again would i return or even recommend to any level golfer.

Nice Course
Harbor Hills has a nice layout with hilly terrain that is not too severe. It adds to the interest of the course without causing issues. The course was in good shape overall. Greens were good, fairways and tees were a little long but otherwise good. The roughs probably could be cut a little closer--balls hit in the rough were hard to find without almost stepping on them, and shots were very difficult to advance, in many cases. Overall, this is one of the better courses around, and doesn't seem to have the maintenance issues a lot of the other courses have from time to time.

Great course but people fix your divots !
This is 2nd time playing here but got rained out after 13 holes last time. This is a very nice course, challenging yet rewarding. They have 5-6 different tees to choose from. I played the green which is in between the white and blue. Greens were slower than they looked and in very good shape. The biggest problem with greens is that very few fix there divots and greens are soft so you will leave a divot so take 2 seconds and fix yours. It has holes where you can grip it and rip it and others where shot placement is crucial. Very close to 5 stars especially for the money. I avoided the sand until 18 but the one green side bunker I was in was nice and actually had sand in it for a nice shot out. You will pay the price in the rough as you should but very consistent conditions throughout the course.i shot an 88 and I’m a 15 handicap and has I putted well easily could have been a low 80’s round so plays fair just has lots of bogeys that I had look at pars all day within 10ft just was not dropping many my fault not the courses.

First Timer Reaction
After first time playing Harbor Hills, I can only say it was a different experience for me. The staff was friendly and helpful and the course was in great shape, really nice. It was hot and my back was kind of acting up, so didn't play as well as I would have expected. The greens, for the most part were relatively small, and although in great shape, seemed pretty slow, for some reason, and the rough...oh the rough. At least four inch high bermuda made it
1. Very easy to lose your ball
2.Extremely hard for me personally to hit out of..
I will play it again now that I know what I'm up against, and would recommend it.

Slow pace
The course itself was beautiful, great conditions, sales in the club house, everything was great. The only thing was the terribly slow pace of play. I would be waiting 15 minutes on the tee box each hole cause an extremely slow pace of play.

Great Layout in Great Shape
Had a great time playing Harbor Hills. The course was in great shape, and the layout was very interesting.
The greens had quite a bit of grain, which affected the putting. (Don’t know the type of grass)
This is a very nice course which can be played without ever becoming boring.

Condition
This course is in good condition overall. Fairways were punched a couple of weeks ago and are filling in. Grass was sparse on a couple of tee boxes and one green has a problem. Overall not bad for a FL course this time of year. Staff was friendly and courteous. This was my first time here but I will definitely be back again.

I believe this was the 4th year the Thunderbird Club of Central Florida has celebrated Thunderbird Appreciation Day at Harbor Hills. The Brunch Buffet satisfies everyone's appetite. This was our first visit and certainly will not be our last. The food was exceptional. The omelet chef was great and the carving station chef was great as well. Our server was more than accommodating and our beverage service was terrific. We never had to ask for refills. Hats off to management and staff!

If you are a Minority stay away from this place. There are a lot of initialed, evil, prejudice people who frequent the club.
I am one of the few African American residing in the Harbor Hills neighborhood . I
am only a member of the club because they told me a membership is needed to use the boat ramp and storage. That's a lie, the ramp is common area.I had just moved here from New Jersey so my hands were tied.I don't use this club because I have been discriminated against because the color of my skin and its hurtful.
I have been paying dues there for over 5 years and I'd like evey dime back
I never used the place because there are a lot of prejudice people up there and I'd rather not be involved. There are also good people there who im friends with. So it's unfair for me to say all . The bad apples makes it hard.
The few times I did go to the club, I was harassed. The very first time I went was for dinner with my wife. I'm an African American male and have a causation wife. Everyone was staring and I felt uncomfortable. Michele told me to calm down, they are probably staring because we are new here. I calmed down thinking yes she's probably right. Maybe I'm on edge because I'm the only black man in the building. Dinner was great. However, before we were ready to leave, an elderly man came over to our table and introduced himself quite friendly. Within the conversation the told me " we're all white here. I was immediately hurt and got angry because my assumptions were correct. He later apologized saying he was talking about his hair but he wasn't. Mission accomplished, now I never want to come up there again but they said I can't cancel my golf membership because I have my boat.
Another time I came up there to workout. I'm frustrated because I don't like going up there because it doesn't feel right.
As I was working out, the the club manager came to check only my ID. There were other people working out but she only checked mine. I am one of few black men who are club members and they know me. I felt ashamed and it angered me. I just went home because I don't want trouble.
Another occurrence was at the gate. I was having trouble with my remote to the motorized gate. The gate guard refused to activate the remote from the gate and Cursed me out. That same guard has harassed me on almost every occasion I launch my boat. Threatened to tow my vehicle if the correct document wasn't displayed. There was an actual fight on the course last year and I can't be involved in a place that fosters that type of behavior.
I have been having problems with the HOA not doing their jobs. and currently suing them for nectlect. michael rich is the HOA president and his office is located in the clubhouse. He's been maliciously trying to defame me because hes losing. He thinks hes above the law because hes a free mason and knows people in the courthouse.
Their lawyers have sent me several cease and desist letters based on lies. I was at the club house minding my business and taking pictures from my case,. A person, I'm assuming it's the club manager, comes and tells me that I'm wasting my time and that is owned by the golf club. Why would he come say that? and how does he know? I mistaked him for michael rich. I told him that he better mind his business.. However, I made sure not to do anything considered as threatening.I haven't returned in the building since. I don't want any trouble. I demand all my club dues back because I was harassed and discriminated against. I've only visited a few Maybe 3 times in a 5 year period.
I've ask for my money back but they refuse. Guess they aren't prejudice against my money. Only me.Michael rich is the developer, and hoa president. Hes is conspiring with my neighbor to defame me in the lawsuit against her l. He advised her to file an injunction to inconvenience me. I have video evidence of him conspiring with my neighbor in his car. They also know the officer attempting to serve injunction papers. They are crooked but will be getting exposed !
Bad condition stay away
To much to list stay away and customer service is terrible.

Terrible shape
Fairways were just aerated with plugs still covering fairways. Most tee boxes burnt out or no grass at all. Can’t believe I wasn’t told at check in! I have played here in the past and it was always good. Not anymore, it has fallen into disrepair.

Didn't see anything about who was in front of the slow group, was there an opening to jump ahead? have done this many times when I encountered slow players as well as the lack of etiquette, if this was the case, that should have been said to the ranger when you called the pro shop, if not then you wait, if the ranger was rude, shouldn't be the one sent.
Maybe this person needs to find more friends to play with.
