A8 green. They didn’t even mentioned they had punched the greens, much less this atrocity. Photo submitted by MichaelOBRIGHT on 06/11/2019

nice inexpensive course
Went there with my brother while on vacation. Average condition, greens kind of bare, but the price was right.
Enjoyable
The course was very good. Only a few greens that need some help. But they weren’t bad. Most greens were like 95 to 100. These maybe 85 to 90 We were very pleased with everything. The starter was great trying to get us out when they were really busy. Our tee time was 10:18. Will play there again.
First time at Cleveland Heights
We were recommended this course by a friend and it did not disappoint. It is a municipal course in Lakeland. The course was soon to host a 4-ball tournament and some competitors were playing their practice rounds. As first, we thought it might be slow but all was going on schedule. It had many challenging holes and some holes were straight forward but we made them challenging! We enjoyed our round as well as the staff! A very friendly place and the restaurant/pub was awesome!
Pleasant round of golf
Got paired with a delightful couple and we very much enjoyed our 18 holes of golf as well as a cold beer at the end! Course was in excellent condition!
No Return
Booked to play courses B & C….biq line at the Starter’s hut & asked to play 9 holes on course A first. Completed the 9 & told no space on B & C so play A again. Courses overbooked with at least one 5 ball playing. A course had spongy fairways & v slow greens. Course layout uninteresting & v average. First time visitor that will not be returning at anytime. A club that allows 5 balls to book deserves players that think 5 balls are acceptable. Absolutely shambolic.
Disappointed
The course was in really good shape. Greens needed to be mowed or rolled pretty bumpy. All in all was ok. The resturant wait staff was really upsetting. One person to cover all of it. Outside the bar and the tables. She was only concerned with people drinking alcohol and young. Had to ask every time for refills when would refill the guy guy next to us without asking. He was drinking shots and beer. Disappointed with the Resturant. Order the lamb splash. The amount of sauce the gave you was like a 1/4 in a container like dressing. I asked for another same thing. Then the up charge me for the little they gave you. Say there for like 10 min waiting for a to go box. She was terrible ate there before that’s why we were disappointed. She was way over her head.
Great muni for the price
Course was a bit beat up in places probably due to lack of rain, but the layout was great. Greens a bit beat up too and slowish, tho there was sand on them when we played. Off course the Irish pub was great. Really liked that the pro shop asked if I was ex military and was happy to give a military discount. Overall great value for the money.
Fairways Great
Fairways in excellent shape, Greens in good shape but very slow to putt on
The Heights
Played on a perfect day. Light breeze and clear blue skies. Course was in great condition for a Florida course with the drought conditions we've been having. Tee boxes and fairways actually had a great deal of grass on them unlike some of the other courses I've played this year. Greens were in good condition as well with only a few of the 18 having any issues like dead spots or sandy areas. With 27 holes, a nice mix of holes from easy to very difficult. Will definitely be back and the price was right also, $35 dor 18 on a Monday.
It Is A Gen Hidden In The City
I have played this course many times. I always find it. Interesting. It challenges you depending on the tease you play. It requires position Golf placing your shots where they need to be. The greens are most always fast. Today they were exceptionally hard. So you have to account for additional role. It reminds me sometimes of a Donald Ross course with the greens set up. You have all the accoutrements? you need to warm up, including, pitching area, putting green, and chipping area. The restaurant offers good food. The pro shop crew is always friendly and willing to help you anyway they can. The end of the story, if you’re grumpy go get a therapist then come and play Cleveland Heights golf course.
Cleveland Heights
I enjoy the course due to its location, course conditions and pleasant staff. As a municipal course, I feel it has great value and is comfortable to play for beginners and higher level players.
